The purpose of this study is to find out whether a pre-treatment PET scan using the experimental imaging tracer 18F-FAC can show how much of the standard chemotherapy for PDAC may be taken up by the cancer.
This study is designed to investigate the safety of intraoperative radiation therapy (IORT) in patients with localized pancreatic cancer undergoing surgical resection after neoadjuvant chemotherapy and stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT).
The first in human clinical study is planned as an open-label, dose-escalation, and dose-expansion, multicentre, two-part, Phase 1/2a study of PBP1510 administered to patients with advanced/metastatic pancreatic cancer. The study will be conducted in two parts, Part 1 as a PBP1510 single agent dose-escalation, and PBP1510 dose-escalation in combination with gemcitabine, and Part 2 as PBP1510 dose-expansion at the RP2D in combination with gemcitabine.
This study will investigate the effectiveness of auricular point acupressure in improving fatigue,sleep quality,physical activity and quality of life in patients with pancreatic cancer under chemotherapy in taiwan. Hypothesis: 1. The fatigue in auricular point acupressure group is significant improving than usual-care group at 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th week. 2. The sleep quality in auricular point acupressure group is significant improving than usual-care group at 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th week. 3. The physical activity in auricular point acupressure group is significant improving than usual-care group at 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th week. 4. The quality of life in auricular point acupressure group is significant improving than usual-care group at 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th week.
This study aims to know the status of BRCA and DDR genes in PDAC patients in China. Peripheral venous blood samples of the patients will be collected for next-generation sequencing of BRCA and DNA damage repair related genes. At the same time, it is necessary to record clinical information such as age, gender, tumor pathological type, tumor stage and grade, whether surgery is performed, the size of postoperative residual lesions, and treatment methods. Prognostic indicators include the association of factors such as PFS, ORR, and DCR are also recorded.
This study will investigate whether or not it is feasible to closely monitor and manage glucose levels in people with pancreatic cancer. It will also investigate what impact glucose management may have on pancreatic cancer. This is a pilot study that will use continuous glucose monitors (CGM) to monitor glucose levels in approximately 50 participants with pancreatic cancer. Participants will receive standard chemotherapy with a combination of up to four drugs to treat their pancreatic cancer: oxaliplatin, irinotecan, 5-fluorouracil, and leucovorin (FOLFIRINOX). To treat high glucose levels, participants will be randomly assigned to one of two groups: Group 1 will receive anti-hyperglycemic treatment as guided by an endocrinologist with the aim of maintaining glucose levels between 4 and 10 mmol/L; Group 2 will receive anti-hyperglycemic treatment if their glucose levels are above 15 mmol/L, which is standard care. Participants in both Groups 1 and 2 will receive standard anti-hyperglycemic treatments: metformin, insulin, glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonists, sodium glucose co-transporter (SGLT2) inhibitors, and dipeptidyl peptidase 4 (DPP-4) inhibitors. After 4 cycles of FOLFIRINOX, the CGM will be removed but any anti-hyperglycemic treatments will continue as needed. If participants discontinue treatment with FOLFIRINOX, they will continue to be followed for survival and subsequent anti-cancer therapy and will continue follow-up for glucose-related concerns at the discretion of their endocrinologist and/or medical oncologist.
The outcomes of concurrent EUS-guided intra-tumour injection of P-32 microparticles (OncoSil; OncoSil Medical, Australia) with chemotherapy in locally advanced pancreatic carcinoma in the local population is uncertain. The aim of the current study is to assess efficacy and safety of the intervention in the local population. We hypothesis that the intervention is safe and useful for tumour downstaging.
Pancreatic cancer (PC) remains a dreadful disease due to its often advanced stage at diagnosis and poor sensitivity to chemotherapy. Progression after 1. line chemotherapy is inevitable in patients with advanced PC, and treatment options for patients who progress after 1. line chemotherapy are limited. Considering the emerging role of the tumor microenvironment, the combination of checkpoint blocking antibodies with immunomodulation of the tumor microenvironment could lead to better responses in tumor historically resistant to radiation and checkpoint blocking antibody approaches as single modalities. Influenza vaccination in cancer patients receiving immune checkpoint inhibitors resulted in a better survival, irrespective of the anticancer treatment outcome. Influenza vaccine facilitates both T- and B cell activation and drives interferon-gamma response, supporting the rationale for combining of influenza vaccine with immune checkpoint inhibition and radiation (NCT02866383). Based on these considerations, the proposed treatment with SBRT of 15 Gy in combination with nivolumab, ipilimumab and influenza vaccine may have the potential to provide meaningful clinical benefit by generating durable clinical responses, thereby improving quality of life (QoL) and potentially extending survival.
