Filter by:This is a multi-center, 2-part phase 1b/2 study of AMG 655 in combination with AMG 479 to be conducted in the United States and Spain. Part 1 is a dose escalation segment to identify a dose of AMG 655 in combination with AMG 479 that is safe and tolerable. Part 2 will evaluate the safety and estimate the efficacy of AMG 655 at the dose selected in Part 1 in combination with AMG 479 for the treatment of patients with advanced NSCLC (non-squamous histology; squamous histology), CRC, pancreatic cancer, ovarian cancer, and sarcoma.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the impact of the addition of cisplatin to gemcitabine in the treatment of patients with inoperable advanced pancreatic cancer.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the safety and possible efficacy of the use of pentamidine in the treatment of pancreatic cancer metastasis in subjects receiving standard therapy.
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as gemcitabine, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Erlotinib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Giving gemcitabine together with erlotinib may kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying how well giving gemcitabine together with erlotinib works in treating patients with metastatic or recurrent pancreatic cancer.
Determine if the addition of an intraoperative ethanol celiac plexus neurolysis (alcohol block) in patients undergoing surgical intervention for pancreatic cancer will result in a decrease in cancer associated pain
The goal of this clinical research study is to learn about symptoms related to chemotherapy and the disease, in patients with advanced pancreatic cancer. Researchers will study the possible reason for these symptoms by drawing blood samples and comparing the test results to the symptoms you experience. The study will also use a special telephone system for measuring the symptoms of participants during and after therapy. Your level of physical activity will also be studied using a pedometer and study diary.
The purpose of this study is to confirm safety and immunological responses of Preoperative intratumor dendritic cells injection immunotherapy using immature dendritic cells with S pyogenes Preparation (OK-432) for patients with resectable pancreatic cancer for pancreatic cancer patients.
RATIONALE: Varenicline, the nicotine patch, and nicotine gum help people stop smoking. It is not yet known whether varenicline is more effective than the nicotine patch given together with nicotine gum in helping smokers quit smoking. PURPOSE: This randomized clinical trial is studying varenicline to see how well it works compared with the nicotine patch given together with nicotine gum in helping smokers in a methadone treatment program stop smoking.
Phase I: Safety profile and to determine maximum tolerated dose (MTD) / Recommended Dose (DR) of Sorafenib in combination with Gemcitabine and Radiotherapy Phase II: Activity profile evaluating Progression-free rates (PFR) at 6 months, Response rate, Overall survival, Toxicity profile
The objective of this study is to compare the efficacy and safety of masitinib in combination with gemcitabine to placebo in combination with gemcitabine in patients with advanced/metastatic pancreatic cancer.
