Filter by:Nimotuzumab (hR3) is an IgG1 humanized monoclonal antibody that recognized an epitope located in the extra cellular domain of the human epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR). Clinical efficacy has been shown in adults with head and neck cancer. This study assesses the efficacy and safety of the combination of Nimotuzumab administered concomitantly with chemotherapy in patients with NSCLC. This is a randomized, muti-center sites trial of this treatment.
The purpose of this study is to access the effect and safety of radiotherapy combined whth Iressa for patients with locally advanced non-small cell lung cancer with harboring active EGFR mutations.
Lung cancer, the most common cancer worldwide, remains the leading cause of cancer death. Approximately two-thirds of all patients with newly diagnosed non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) present with advanced stage that palliative chemotherapy is the only appropriate measure. The standard treatment for this patient population consists of third generation platinum-based doublet regimen for no more than 6 cycles followed by watch and wait until disease progression (PD) before the administration of second-line and third-line systemic anticancer therapeutic agents. Patients who go on to receive second-line therapy represent a selected subgroup with an improved overall prognosis. Switch maintenance therapy with pemetrexed or erlotinib in patients with advanced NSCLC without PD after first-line chemotherapy has been confirmed to improve progression free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS) significantly compared with placebo in two large randomized controlled studies. However, continuation gemcitabine maintenance therapy in this setting yields conflicting results in the west, i.e.showing a prolongation of PFS without OS improvement. Thus, we investigate the efficacy and safety of continuation of gemcitabine maintenance therapy for patients with metastatic NSCLC with ECOG performance status of 0-1 and without PD after four cycles of first-line chemotherapy with gemcitabine and cisplatin in China.
The purpose of this study is to determine efficacy of SB injection in Non Small Cell Lung Cancer.
Patients suffering from non small cell lung cancer(NSCLC), depend upon lung removal to increase their chances of survival. But, this type of surgery cannot be advised to patients with significant heart disease, limited lung fuction or reduced physical fitness. Intensive physical training has been shown to increase aerobic fitness in healthy subjects. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of a short term rehabilitation prior to surgery on the post-operative and physiological outcomes for patients undergoing this type of surgery.
The main purpose of this randomized phase II trial is to evaluate the clinical feasibility and activity of administering adjuvant chemotherapy of pemetrexed/carboplatin compared with vinorelbine/carboplatin in patients with completely resected non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).
To study the association of Genetic Polymorphisms with Lung Cancer Risk in Tianjin Population.
RATIONALE: Sunitinib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth and by blocking blood flow to the tumor. It is not yet known whether sunitinib is effective in treating non-small cell lung cancer. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying sunitinib to see how well it works when given as maintenance therapy in treating patients with stage III or stage IV non-small cell lung cancer which is previously treated with combination chemotherapy.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the efficacy of BAI Plus 3DCRT in local advanced NSCLC.
The purpose of this study is to examine the efficacy and safety of gefitinib combinated with Pemetrexed/Cisplatin in advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).
