Start date: December 16, 2011
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

- The study is evaluating the safety and tolerability of Nivolumab (BMS-936558) when combined with three platinum-based doublet chemotherapy regimens (Cisplatin/Gemcitabine; Cisplatin/Pemetrexed; and Carboplatin/Paclitaxel) in subjects with NSCLC. - The study is evaluating the safety and tolerability of Nivolumab as maintenance therapy in combination with Bevacizumab/Avastin that will be given after at least 4 cycles of platinum doublet chemotherapy. - The study is evaluating the safety and tolerability of Nivolumab in combination with Erlotinib among epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) mutation positive non-squamous NSCLC subjects and as monotherapy in subjects with NSCLC. - The study is evaluating the safety and tolerability of Nivolumab in combination with Ipilimumab in subjects with squamous and non-squamous NSCLC. - The study is evaluating the safety and tolerability of Nivolumab as switch maintenance therapy in subjects with squamous and non-squamous NSCLC. - The study is evaluating the safety and tolerability of Nivolumab as monotherapy among subjects with untreated, asymptomatic brain metastases and no evidence of cerebral edema.

NCT ID: NCT01451632 Completed - Colorectal Cancer Clinical Trials

A Safety Study of MM-121 With Cetuximab and Irinotecan in Patients With Advanced Cancers

Start date: October 2011
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the safety and tolerability of escalating doses of the MM-121 plus cetuximab and the MM-121 plus cetuximab plus irinotecan combination.

NCT ID: NCT01450553 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer

Tissue Collection Study for Patients With Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer With Resectable Disease

Start date: October 2011
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

A 15-gene lung signature was created to identify predictive and prognostic biomarkers for Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC) patients. The 15-gene signature was validated using a microarray platform with fresh frozen tumor tissue to place NSCLC patients into high risk and low risk cohorts with significantly different survivals. Using fresh frozen tissue can be challenging, so this study attempts simplify the process by migrating the 15-gene signature from fresh frozen to two alternative tissue formats: Formalin Fixed Paraffin Embedded (FFPE) and RNAlater. The gene expressions of the different tissue formats will be compared to see if the fresh frozen tissue results are similar to the alternative tissue formats.

NCT ID: NCT01449357 Withdrawn - Clinical trials for Non-small Cell Lung Cancer

Zalutumumab in Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC) Patients Refractory to Tyrosine Kinase Inhibitors

Start date: n/a
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

A Single-arm Phase II Trial Investigating the Efficacy and Safety of Zalutumumab in Patients with Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer who have Progressive Disease after Treatment with Tyrosine Kinase Inhibitors.

NCT ID: NCT01442909 Completed - Clinical trials for Non-small-cell Lung Cancer

Pemetrexed Followed by Docetaxel or in Reverse Sequence

Start date: March 2008
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

Both pemetrexed and docetaxel have been reported to have similar activity against non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) who failed previous chemotherapy in a large randomized phase III study. However, no study showed different toxicity and efficacy profiles within individual patients. Present phase II randomized clinical trial is designed to answer these questions, with addition of information about whether or not sequential therapy can prolong disease-free and overall survival.

NCT ID: NCT01441752 Completed - Clinical trials for Non-small Cell Lung Cancer

Efficacy Study of Integrated TCM Combined With Chemotherapy in Postoperative NSCLC Patients

Start date: November 2011
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The investigators performed a multi-center, randomized, controlled, double-blind, prospective study on evaluating effect of chemotherapy combined with or without integrated TCM on quality of life (QOL) of postoperative Non-small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC) patients. The investigators plan to involve 600 cases for observation in 3 years (300 cases for each group), expecting that QOL of postoperative NSCLC patients can be improved by integrated TCM combined with chemotherapy compared to that by chemotherapy alone.

NCT ID: NCT01429766 Unknown status - Clinical trials for Non Small Cell Lung Cancer

A Prospective Study of Variation in Breath Holding Times at Various Phases of Respiration During the Course of Radiotherapy Including the Effect of Respiratory Training in Lung Cancer Patients

Start date: June 2010
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

100 suitable patients of lung cancer shall be taken into the study over a period of 2 years. As per the existing treatment protocol in our department, all patients suitable shall undergo a routine Pulmonary function testing (PFT). Subsequently, recording of the breath hold shall be done at the following times 1. At time of simulation 2. At the time of first fraction of radiotherapy 3. At mid radiotherapy 4. At radiotherapy conclusion After the recording at a), patients shall be asked to perform deep breathing exercises/spirometer ball exercise to see the effect of training on the breath holding times.
