Filter by:The purpose of this protocol is to allow continued treatment with conatumumab and/or ganitumab, with or without chemotherapy, to participants who completed a separate Amgen-sponsored conatumumab or ganitumab study without disease progression whose previous studies were closed.
This study seeks to identify risk factors associated with the development of a jaw condition seen in patients with cancer treated with certain medications.
This is an open label phase I clinical trial with two arms, representing single and fractionated radiation therapy (Figure 4.1). Within each arm the radiation dose is pre-determined and not escalated. Panobinostat will be administered orally 3 times a week for 2 weeks. Panobinostat will be dose-escalated independently in each arm. There is no intra-patient dose escalation. Recurrent gliomas (Arm A) will be treated according to the Jefferson protocol for re-irradiation, 10 fractions each of 3.5Gy delivered over 2 weeks. Panobinostat will be administered orally three times a week for 2 weeks, starting on day 1 or 2 of radiation therapy. High-grade meningiomas (Arm A) will be treated with 6 weeks/30 fractions of fractionated radiation therapy, to a total dose of between 54 Gy and 60 Gy in fractions of either 1.8Gy or 2Gy. Panobinostat will be administered orally three times a week for 2 weeks, starting on the day of 1st fraction of radiation. Large brain metastases (Arm B) will be treated with a single fraction of radiosurgery. Panobinostat will be administered orally three times a week for 2 weeks, starting on the day of radiation. The radiosurgery may be delivered by either LINAC, gamma-knife, cyber-knife or tomotherapy technology.
The aim of this study is to explore whether cetuximab in combination with mFOLFOX6 as treatment could improve the resection rate in patients with KRAS wild-type, unresectable liver metastases of mCRC.
Because electrochemotherapy is a quick and effective treatment for cutaneous metastases, a novel electrode device has been developed for treatment in soft tissue such as the brain. Up to 18 patients will be treated in this phase I dose-escalating study of electrochemotherapy for brain metastases. Primary endpoint of the clinical trial is safety and secondary endpoint is efficacy. One brain metastasis is treated once-only with the electrode device guided stereotactically through a burr hole using CT monitoring. The patient will be fully anesthetized during the treatment procedure. Patients are followed up for 6 months with regard to neurological function, Barthel Index, steroid use and adverse effects registration (CTCAE). Tumor response will be evaluated by Magnetic Resonance imaging (MRI).
This phase II trial studies how well giving combination chemotherapy and bevacizumab before surgery and radiolabeled monoclonal antibody therapy works in treating liver metastases in patients with metastatic colorectal cancer. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as leucovorin calcium, fluorouracil, and oxaliplatin (FOLFOX), work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Monoclonal antibodies, such as bevacizumab, can block tumor growth in different ways. Some block the ability of tumor to grow and spread. Others find tumor cells and help kill them or carry tumor-killing substances to them. Radiolabeled monoclonal antibodies, such as yttrium Y 90 DOTA anti-CEA monoclonal antibody M5A, can find tumor cells and carry tumor-killing substances to them without harming normal cells. Giving chemotherapy and monoclonal antibody before surgery may make the tumor smaller and reduce the amount of normal tissue that needs to be removed. Giving radiolabeled monoclonal antibody therapy after surgery may kill any tumor cells that remain after surgery
This prospective, multicenter study is intended to establish the efficacy and toxicity of treating unresectable colorectal liver metastases with accurately administered radiation using the CyberKnife stereotactic radiosurgery system.
This is a Phase 1 study during which patients with advanced cancer will receive investigational study drug ARRY-382. Patients will receive increasing doses of study drug in order to achieve the highest dose of the study drug possible that will not cause unacceptable side effects. Patients will be followed to see what side effects and effectiveness the study drug has, if any, in treating the cancer. Approximately 50 patients from the US will be enrolled in this study.
This study is to confirm the safety and technical of MRI guided High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) for Palliation for Pain of Skeletal Metastases. MRI guided high intensity focused ultrasound uses ultrasound to heat and thermally ablate tissue. The MRI system identifies the ultrasound path and monitors heat rise in the tissue. The goal of the study is to show treatment safety and effectiveness. MR-guided HIFU will be performed in patients who pass inclusion/exclusion criteria.
