Filter by:The purpose of this study is to determine the efficacy and safety of investigational combination therapy of Selinexor, Clarithromycin, Pomalidomide and Dexamethasone (ClaSPd) for patients with relapsed/refractory multiple myeloma. The hypothesis is that the addition of Selinexor to Clarithromycin, Pomalidomide and Dexamethasone will increase the overall response rate of patients with relapsed/refractory multiple myeloma.
To assess Minimal Residual Disease (MRD)-negative Complete Response (sCR) rate after consolidation treatment with Descartes-08 in patients with high-risk myeloma who have residual disease following induction therapy.
This is a single-arm, phase II, open-label trial to investigate the effects of selinexor (S) in combination with daratumumab, lenalidomide, and dexamethasone (DRd) for first-line treatment of multiple myeloma (MM). FDA has approved selinexor plus dexamethasone in multiple myeloma after four prior therapies, and DRd is also already approved by the FDA for multiple myeloma. This study will use all four (S-DRd) together to treat MM as an initial treatment.
This retrospective observational cohort study aims to describe the impact of COVID-19 in patients treated with autologous stem cell transplantation (ASCT) for malignant disease in terms of risk factors, morbidity, need for supportive care and mortality. All patients treated with ASCT in Sweden from 1st January 2020 until 31st December 2020 are eligible for this study. Patients who also has tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 from start of conditioning or later will be identified through the national registry of the Public Health Agency of Sweden and a systematic analysis of their medical records will be performed.
Background Hematological diseases are disorders of the blood and hematopoietic organs. The current hematological cohorts are mostly based on single-center or multi-center cases, or cohorts with limited sample size in China. There is a lack of comprehensive and large-scale prospective cohort studies in hematology. The purpose of this study is to analyze the incidence and risk factors of major blood diseases, the treatment methods, prognosis and medical expenses of these patients in China. Method The study will include patients diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia, multiple myeloma, hemophilia, aplastic anemia, leukemia, myelodysplastic syndrome, lymphoma, bleeding disorders or received bone marrow transplantation in the investigating hospitals from January 1, 2020, and collect basic information, diagnostic and treatment information, as well as medical expense information from medical records. In its current form, the NICHE registry incorporates historical data (collected from 2000) and is systematically collecting prospective data in two phases with broadening reach. The study will use questionnaire to measure the exposure of patients, and prospectively follow-up to collect the prognosis information.

Patients with Multiple Myeloma are monitored for disease progression and for response to treatment by the treating hematologist or oncologist. Laboratory tests are usually utilized for these purposes. The role of imaging is confined to follow-up the progression of visible bone lesions. We suggest that microscopic bone lesions impair bone structure well before they grow enough to be visible on a CT scan. This impairment of bone strength can probably be captured by application of CT-based finite element analysis to the CT scans that were performed for monitoring of progression of the disease.
This study is to see if the standard of care subcutaneous injection of bortezomib can safely be administered at home by the patient or caregiver. All tests and assessments are based on standard of care procedures.
The main aim of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of the clinical application of the XN-1000/20 hematology analyzer for risk stratification in patients with multiple myeloma based on the number of detected plasma cells in peripheral blood at the different stages of treatment. This clinical study is observational and does not involve drugs. 100 subjects with newly diagnosed multiple myeloma will be enrolled in this study and followed for 3 years.
Many cancers are being treated more effectively nowadays due to the raised awareness and early detection as well as advancement in researches and technology. Despite the rising number of cancer survivors in the coming years, these survivors are still plagued by the poor quality of life due to physical and psychological impairment. According to the National Cancer Registry Report from 2007-2011, haematological cancer is one of the ten most common cancers in Malaysian population. Many haematological cancer survivors in Malaysia are reportedly having poor quality of life due to multiple physical and emotional impairments which leads to further disability in life. It is thus an important effort to identify the rehabilitation needs in these cancer survivors to implement alternatives to improve the disease outcome through cancer rehabilitation.
