Vitrectomy and Bevacizumab for Diffuse Diabetic Macular Edema

Start date: November 2007
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

To Evaluate combined effect of vitrectomy and bevacizumab to stabilize retinal thickness and visual acuity in patients with diffuse diabetic macular edema and their relation to renal disease.

NCT ID: NCT00566761 Terminated - Macular Edema Clinical Trials

Treatment of Bevacizumab and Triamcinolone in Treatment or Macular Edema Secondary to CRVO

MECROV
Start date: June 2007
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

Treatment of macular edema secondary to central retinal vein occlusion is more effective with combined therapy of bevacizumab and triamcinolone than bevacizumab alone.

NCT ID: NCT00505947 Terminated - Clinical trials for Diabetic Retinopathy

Treatment of Refractory Diabetic Macular Edema With Infliximab

Start date: July 2007
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to determine if treatment with infliximab improves macular edema which is refractory to laser photocoagulation in patients with diabetes.

NCT ID: NCT00427986 Terminated - Clinical trials for Diabetic Macular Oedema

Clinical Study of the Effect of Intravenous Galactose on Diabetic Macular Oedema

Start date: January 2007
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of the present study is to examine, if retinal swelling in diabetic patients can be reduced by an intravenous injection of galactose.

NCT ID: NCT00358423 Terminated - Clinical trials for Cystoid Macular Edema

The Effect of Macugen in Patients With Chronic, Post-Operative Cystoid Macular Edema

Start date: July 2006
Phase: Phase 1/Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This research is being done to look at the effects of an experimental drug called pegaptanib (also called Macugen) for the treatment of swelling in the retina (the light sensitive tissue in the back of the eye) that can occur after cataract surgery. Swelling in the retina can lead to blurry vision. The only treatment available for this condition is eye drops that decrease swelling in the back of the eye, but eye drops may not decrease the swelling in everyone. We want to see if pegaptanib can decrease swelling in the retina and improve vision in patients with swelling after cataract surgery.

NCT ID: NCT00346983 Terminated - Clinical trials for Cystoid Macular Edema

Macugen to Prevent Worsening of Macular Edema Following Cataract Surgery in Diabetics

Start date: June 2006
Phase: Phase 1/Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This research is being conducted to look at the effects of an intraocular drug (pegaptanib, also called Macugen) for the treatment of swelling in the retina (the light sensitive tissue in the back of the eye) that often occurs following cataract surgery in patients with diabetic eye disease. Swelling in the retina can lead to blurry vision, and Macugen may reduce this swelling. Eyedrops that decrease inflammation also may help to stop some of the swelling. We are testing this drug (pegaptanib) to see if it can decrease swelling in the retina and improve vision in patients with diabetes who are having cataract surgery.

NCT ID: NCT00114062 Terminated - Uveitis Clinical Trials

Study to Treat Uveitis Associated Macular Edema

Start date: September 2005
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to determine whether denufosol tetrasodium (INS37217) Intravitreal Injection is well tolerated and has the potential to treat uveitis associated macular edema.
