RATIONALE: Treatment for diffuse large B-cell non-Hodgkin's lymphoma may cause side effects and secondary cancers later in life. An observational study that evaluates patients after undergoing six courses of combination chemotherapy with or without rituximab and radiation therapy may help doctors predict a patient's response to this treatment and help plan the best treatment. PURPOSE: This observational study is evaluating patients with diffuse large B-cell non-Hodgkin's lymphoma to see how well treatment on clinical trial CAN-NCIC-LY9 works.

A Study of Dulanermin in Combination With Rituximab in Subjects With Follicular and Other Low Grade, CD20+, Non-Hodgkin's Lymphomas

This Phase Ib/II, open-label, multicenter trial is designed to evaluate the safety, pharmacokinetics, and efficacy of dulanermin when combined with rituximab in subjects with follicular, CD20+, B-cell Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma (NHL) that has progressed following a response of ≥ 6 months duration to a prior rituximab-containing therapy. The multicenter, international, randomized Phase II part of this study will commence only after the safety and available pharmacokinetic data from the Phase Ib part of the study have been evaluated by the Sponsor and have been provided to participating investigators and the FDA.

Rituximab, Fludarabine, Cyclophosphamide, and Yttrium Y 90 Ibritumomab Tiuxetan in Treating Patients With Relapsed B-Cell Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma

RATIONALE: Monoclonal antibodies, such as rituximab, can block cancer growth in different ways. Some block the ability of cancer cells to grow and spread. Others find cancer cells and help kill them or carry cancer-killing substances to them. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as fludarabine and cyclophosphamide, work in different ways to stop the growth of cancer cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Radiolabeled monoclonal antibodies, such as yttrium Y 90 ibritumomab tiuxetan, can find cancer cells and carry cancer-killing substances to them without harming normal cells. Giving rituximab and chemotherapy together with yttrium Y 90 ibritumomab tiuxetan may kill more cancer cells. PURPOSE: This phase I/II trial is studying the side effects and best dose of yttrium Y 90 ibritumomab tiuxetan when given together with rituximab, fludarabine, and cyclophosphamide and to see how well they work in treating patients with relapsed B-cell non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.

AMD3100 (Plerixafor) Given to NHL and MM Patients to Increase the Number of PBSCs When Given a Mobilizing Regimen of G-CSF

This study evaluates the safety and efficacy of plerixafor given in addition to granulocyte-colony stimulating factor (G-CSF) for collection of peripheral blood stem cells (PBSCs) for autologous transplantation in patients with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL) and multiple myeloma (MM). Efficacy outcomes include evaluation of fold increase in circulating CD34+ cells from just before the first plerixafor injection to 10-11 hours post plerixafor (just before apheresis) and assessment of successful polymorphonuclear leukocyte (PMN) engraftment after transplantation. Data from this protocol will assist in the determination of the dosing schedule for future studies.

This Phase 2 study was designed to assess the safety and hematological activity of AMD3100 (plerixafor) in patients with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL) or multiple myeloma (MM) who were predicted to be unable to mobilize ≥2*10^6 CD34+ cells/kg within 3 apheresis days. Patients with NHL and MM were eligible to enter the study if they had undergone cyto-reductive chemotherapy, were to undergo autologous transplantation, and met the inclusion/exclusion criteria. The purpose of this protocol was to determine whether plerixafor in combination with Granulocyte Colony Stimulating Factor (G-CSF) can increase the circulating levels of peripheral blood stem cells (PBSCs) in patients whose peripheral CD34+ counts remain low after treatment with G-CSF alone, whether it was safe, and whether transplantation with the apheresis product was successful, as measured by time to engraftment of polymorphonuclear leukocytes (PMNs) and platelets (PLTs).
