NCT ID: NCT01679470 Terminated - Clinical trials for Primary or Metastatic Lung Tumors

Efficacy Study of AuroLase Therapy in Subjects With Primary and/or Metastatic Lung Tumors

Start date: October 2012
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This is an open-label, single-center, single-dose efficacy pilot study of AuroLase Therapy in the treatment of subjects with primary and/or metastatic tumors of the lung where there is airway obstruction. In this study patients will be given a systemic IV infusion of particles and a subsequent escalating dose of laser radiation delivered by optical fiber via bronchoscopy.

NCT ID: NCT01676714 Completed - Colorectal Cancer Clinical Trials

Study of Dovitinib and Biomarkers in Advanced Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer or Advanced Colorectal Cancer

Start date: February 2013
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to find out if dovitinib is an effective treatment for patients with advanced lung cancer or advanced colorectal cancer (CRC) who have progressed on anti-vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) treatment.

NCT ID: NCT01673867 Completed - Clinical trials for Non-Squamous Cell Non-small Cell Lung Cancer

Study of BMS-936558 (Nivolumab) Compared to Docetaxel in Previously Treated Metastatic Non-squamous NSCLC

CheckMate057
Start date: November 2, 2012
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of the study is to compare the overall survival of BMS-936558 (Nivolumab) as compared with Docetaxel in subjects with non-squamous cell non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) after failure of prior platinum-based chemotherapy

NCT ID: NCT01673711 Completed - Lung Cancer Clinical Trials

Deuterated Phenanthrene Tetraol in Smokers Who Are at High Risk For Lung Cancer

Start date: July 2012
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This clinical trial studies deuterated phenanthrene tetraol in smokers who are at high risk for lung cancer. Studying samples of urine in the laboratory from smokers who are at high risk for lung cancer may help doctors learn more about biomarkers related to cancer.

NCT ID: NCT01670539 Completed - Lung Cancer Clinical Trials

Home Telemonitoring for Patients With Lung Cancer

HTPLC
Start date: April 2011
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to learn more about using a home machine "Telemonitor" to find problems people with lung cancer may have after being discharged from the hospital and help them manage problems by contacting their healthcare provider. The study hypothesis is that patients with lung CA using short-term (14 days)home telemonitors, educated/coached by nurses on telemonitor data risks/implications for the first two weeks after hospital discharge, will be able to self-report their signs/ symptoms to the clinician resulting in decreased use of costly health care resources over 60 days.

NCT ID: NCT01669707 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Non-small Cell Lung Cancer

Endostar Durative Transfusion Combining With Gemcitabine-Cisplatin to Treat Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC)

Start date: April 2011
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to determine whether Endostar pumping into vein with Gemcitabine-Cisplatin are more effective than Endostar with Gemcitabine-Cisplatin regularly in the treatment of Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC).

NCT ID: NCT01668823 Completed - Clinical trials for Recurrent Non-small Cell Lung Cancer

Photodynamic Therapy in Treating Patients With Lung Cancer

Start date: February 2004
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

This phase I trial is studying the side effects and best dose of photodynamic therapy using HPPH in treating patients with lung cancer. Photodynamic therapy uses a drug, such as HPPH, that becomes active when it is exposed to a certain kind of light. When the drug is active, cancer cells are killed.

NCT ID: NCT01667562 Completed - Clinical trials for Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer

A Study of Erlotinib in Participants With Locally Advanced or Metastatic Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer

ESSENCE
Start date: January 20, 2012
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This open-label, multi-center study will evaluate the progression-free survival and safety of erlotinib in participants with locally advanced or metastatic non-small cell lung cancer with activating mutations in the tyrosine kinase domain of the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR). Participants will receive daily oral doses of erlotinib until disease progression or unacceptable toxicity.

NCT ID: NCT01666977 Completed - Clinical trials for Non Small Cell Lung Cancer

Phase 1b/2 Trial of AMG386 With Pemetrexed and Carboplatin in Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer

Start date: August 2012
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of phase 2 of this this study is to estimate the treatment effect of study drug measuring progression free survival.

NCT ID: NCT01664754 Completed - Clinical trials for Stage IV Non-small Cell Lung Cancer

Exemestane, Pemetrexed Disodium, and Carboplatin in Treating Post-Menopausal Women With Stage IV Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer

Start date: September 7, 2012
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

This phase I trial studies the side effects and best dose of exemestane in combination with pemetrexed disodium and carboplatin in treating post-menopausal women with stage IV non-small cell lung cancer. Exemestane may stop the growth of tumor calls by blocking some of the enzymes need for cell growth. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as pemetrexed disodium and carboplatin, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Giving exemestane together with pemetrexed disodium and carboplatin may kill more tumor cells
