Start date: October 2014
Phase: Phase 1/Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

A multi-center Phase Ib/II study of the combination of RO5479599 with carboplatin and paclitaxel once in every 3 week (q3w) regimen to evaluate the safety and tolerability.

NCT ID: NCT02202655 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Non-small Cell Lung Cancer

Study of Changes of Lymphocyte Subsets in Chemotherapy Course of Patients With Non-small Cell Lung Cancer

NSCLC
Start date: May 2014
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

The purpose of this study is to investigate the changes of lymphocyte subsets in chemotherapy course of patients with non-small cell lung cancer

NCT ID: NCT02201992 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Stage IIIA Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer AJCC v7

Crizotinib in Treating Patients With Stage IB-IIIA Non-small Cell Lung Cancer That Has Been Removed by Surgery and ALK Fusion Mutations (An ALCHEMIST Treatment Trial)

Start date: March 23, 2015
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This randomized phase III trial studies how well crizotinib works in treating patients with stage IB-IIIA non-small cell lung cancer that has been removed by surgery and has a mutation in a protein called anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK). Mutations, or changes, in ALK can make it very active and important for tumor cell growth and progression. Crizotinib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking the ALK protein from working. Crizotinib may be an effective treatment for patients with non-small cell lung cancer and an ALK fusion mutation.

NCT ID: NCT02200757 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Metastatic Small Cell Lung Cancer

Efficacy and Safety of Aldoxorubicin Compared to Topotecan in Subjects With Metastatic Small Cell Lung Cancer

Start date: September 2014
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of aldoxorubicin compared to topotecan in subjects with metastatic small cell lung cancer.

NCT ID: NCT02200354 Terminated - Clinical trials for Advanced Non-small Cell Lung Cancer

The Safety and Efficacy of Pemetrexed Rechallenge With Bevacizumab

Start date: July 2014
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

For patients with nonsquamous NSCLC and a good performance status (PS), pemetrexed and cisplatin has been recommended for first-line NSCLC treatment. Recently, results from the PARAMOUNT trial showed that patients with nonsquamous NSCLC who had a good PS and had not progressed after completing four cycles of pemetrexed-cisplatin induction therapy benefitted from pemetrexed continuation maintenance therapy. Furthermore, pemetrexed with bevacizumab continuous maintenance might be better treatment option, considering the results from AVAPEARL trial. Pemetrexed rechallenge has been reported to be effective in some patients. Therefore, in order to investigate the safety and efficacy of pemetrexed rechallenge with bevacizumab,we conducted this study.

NCT ID: NCT02200081 Completed - Clinical trials for Small Cell Lung Cancer

Randomized Study of Maintenance Therapy With MGN1703 in Patients With SCLC

IMPULSE
Start date: March 2014
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

Evaluation of efficacy and safety of MGN1703 administered twice weekly subcutaneously (SC) as maintenance treatment in patients with extensive disease small cell lung cancer (SCLC) who achieved at least a partial response (PR) following platinum-based first-line therapy.

NCT ID: NCT02199886 Terminated - Lung Neoplasms Clinical Trials

Dose-escalation Study of BIBH 1 in Patients With Non-small Cell Lung Cancer Scheduled for Surgical Resection

Start date: July 1998
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

Study to assess the toxicity, pharmacokinetics, biodistribution and imaging characteristics associated with increasing doses of 131I-BIBH 1, to compare the uptake of 131I-BIBH 1 in tumour to that of normal tissue in patients with non-small cell lung cancer and to measure human anti-human antibody (HAHA) concentrations.

NCT ID: NCT02196844 Completed - Lung Cancer Clinical Trials

Yoga Program for Lung Cancer Patients and Caregivers

Start date: September 29, 2014
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The goal of this behavioral research study is to learn the opinion of patients and their caregivers about a couple-based Hatha Yoga program (Group 1) during treatment for cancer. Researchers also want to learn the effect of this program on lung function, distress, biological function, and quality of life. For comparison purposes, there will also be a group of participants (Group 2) that does not take part in this program. You and your caregiver/family member will have about a 50/50 chance of being assigned to each group. The groups are randomly assigned, but it is also based on other factors such as your age and the status of the disease.

Start date: August 2014
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to observe quality of life and treatment side effects in patients with advanced non small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) receive chemotherapy and Yangzhengxiaoji capsule.

NCT ID: NCT02195336 Not yet recruiting - Clinical trials for Non-small Cell Lung Cancer

dMR During First Line Treatment of Non Squamous Lung Cancer: Time Course and Prognostic and Predictive Impact.

BevMar
Start date: August 2014
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

To date, there are no methods to reliably select which patients with non-squamous non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) that benefit most from treatment with bevacizumab. Data have shown that high levels of plasma VEGF are prognostic and correlates with a worse disease outcome in some tumour types, including advanced NSCLC. Recent data are suggestive of a predictive value of imaging techniques for early detection of antiangiogenic treatment efficacy in different cancers. To our knowledge there are no presented data available on correlation between changes in diffusion-weighted MR and response to bevacizumab treatment in lung cancer. The current study is designed as a pilot study to prospectively investigate changes in MR variables during treatment with bevacizumab and to detect signals of prognostic and/or predictive value of MR changes during treatment.
