| Eligibility | Inclusion Criteria: - nulliparous adolescent and young women requesting levonorgestrel-releasing intrauterine device Exclusion Criteria: - pregnancy and - contraindication or allergy to or contraindication to IUD insertion, - chronic pelvic pain, - pelvic inflammatory disease, - analgesic intake 24 hours prior to IUD insertion. |
