McGrath Videolaryngoscope and Pentax AirwayScope are kinds of these videolaryngoscopes. The purpose of this study is to compare of routine endotracheal intubation with McGrath Videolaryngoscope and Pentax AirwayScope by means of providing better laryngeal view, easier and faster intubation.

Oro-tracheal intubation is performed daily in anesthesia and in the ICU. When a patient is intubated, the endotracheal tube must be inserted into the trachea to the right depth. If the tube is not deep Inserted enough there is a risk of accidental extubation and trauma to the vocal cords by the balloon. If the tube is inserted too far there is a risk of selective intubation into the right or left mainstem bronchus, which can lead to contralateral lung atelectasis and hypoxemia. The purpose of this study is to determine whether there is a correlation between the measurement of the airway of an adult population and criteria that would be easily accessible in daily clinical practice: the height of the patient and the size of their feet.

Effect of Upright Patient Positioning on Intubation Success

Just-in-time Training for Teaching Neonatal Endotracheal Intubation

This study compares the use of simulation-based just-in-time training to video training in learning neonatal endotracheal intubation. Half of the participants will be trained using simulation-based just-in-time training and the other half using video training. The hypothesis are Primary hypothesis: In the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, use of simulation-based just-in-time training, compared to video training, will increase the rate of successful clinical endotracheal intubation by 20%. Secondary hypotheses: The investigators expect that simulation-based just-in-time training prior to clinical endotracheal intubation will decrease time to successful intubation and rate of endotracheal intubation related adverse events, namely mucosal trauma, oesophageal and endobronchial intubations. In addition, the investigators expect that simulation-based just-in-time training will increase residents' confidence level while performing clinical endotracheal intubation.
