Based on the Special Disease Management of Crohn's Disease Diet Studies

This project plans to develop a new diet therapy suitable for China -- CD-C-food, which is more in line with the common diet of Chinese patients' eating habits and economic conditions, and its expected therapeutic effect and influence on intestinal microorganism are similar to that of EEN. In order to explore the influence of intestinal microorganisms and their metabolites on the clinical remission effect and inflammatory response of patients with CD-C-Food, and to reveal the possible internal mechanism, a randomized control of adult subjects with a healthy CD-Chinese-food diet, treatment group of CD patients and animal model will be conducted by using intestinal microbiome, bacterial metabolite analysis, inflammatory factors detection and other technical means.

This will include how vedolizumab is given, which can either be an infusion through a vein (intravenous or IV), or an injection just under the skin (subcutaneous injection, or SC).

TMS in Inflammatory Bowel Disease

Transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) has demonstrated diagnostic and therapeutic potential for a number of conditions and is an approved treatment for depression. Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) has a significant impact on mental health, and comorbid maladaptive behaviors and pain are highly prevalent in patients with IBD and are often under-treated. The investigators predict TMS will improve comorbid maladaptive behavior (heightened interoceptive awareness, sleep, fatigue, catastrophizing, anxiety and depression), reduce pain and improve quality of life in persons with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Further, TMS benefits will be associated with changes in gut microbiome as measured by stool, blood and urine samples and normalization of IBD-associated changes in brain structure and/or function as measured by magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).

Introduction The incidence of inflammatory bowel disease [IBD] is increasing worldwide. Both Crohn's disease [CD] and ulcerative colitis [UC] are therefore becoming an important public health issue[1] The IBD is characterized by chronic intestinal inflammation, which can cause bowel damage and intestinal complications primarily depending on the duration and severity of the inflammation[2] The diagnosis of inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) is often established following considerable delay due to nonspecific and inconsistent symptoms. In previous western studies, the delayed diagnosis was associated with poor outcome in patients with Crohn's disease (CD).[2] Timely diagnosis is not only important for the patients themselves but has also become a relevant public health issue due to the rising incidence of IBD worldwide[3] Patients and methods Cross sectional observational study will be conducted among 700 patients of Egyptian inflammatory bowel diseased patients for different regions Aim of the study 1.
