NCT ID: NCT03209011 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Chronic Hepatitis B Infection

The Changes of CD4+T Cells Frequency and Function During Antiviral Therapy

Start date: January 2016
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

Pegylated interferon α-2a(Peg-IFN-α) not only inhibit viral replication, but also play an important role in immune regulation, while Nucleoside analog(ue) drugs only inhibit viral replication. In hepatitis B infection, CD4+T Cells are the main effector cells in adaptive immune response. This study was aimed at investigating the changes of CD4+T Cells frequency and function, and the expression of costimulatory molecules during Peg-IFN-αand nucleoside analog(ue) therapy.Meanwhile, the investigators want to verify whether Peg IFN - alpha suppressed the virus and the reduction of virus led to the recovery of CD4+T Cells function, or Peg IFN - alpha enhanced CD4+T Cells function which gave rise to the decline of the virus.

NCT ID: NCT03208998 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Chronic Hepatitis B Infection

The Changes of Natural Killer Cells Frequency and Function During Antiviral Therapy

In hepatitis B infection, NKs are the main effector cells in early antiviral innate immune response. This study was aimed at investigating the changes of NKs frequency and function, and the expression of costimulatory molecules during Peg-IFN-αand nucleoside analog(ue) therapy.Meanwhile, investigators want to verify whether Peg IFN - alpha suppressed the virus and the reduction of virus led to the recovery of NKs function, or Peg IFN - alpha enhanced NKs function which gave rise to the decline of the virus.

NCT ID: NCT03200379 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Hepatitis C, Chronic

Nation-wide Hepatitis C Virus (HCV) Registry in Taiwan

Start date: June 15, 2017
Phase:
Study type: Observational

To determine the treatment efficacy, safety and long-term outcomes of chronic hepatitis C patients receiving directly acting antivirals in Taiwan

NCT ID: NCT03169348 Recruiting - Hepatitis C Clinical Trials

The Effect of Direct Antiviral Therapy on Hepatitis c Virus-related Thrombocytopenia

Start date: November 1, 2017
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Autoimmune thrombocytopenic purpura is an immunological disorder characterized by increased platelet destruction due to presence of anti-platelet antibodies. Hepatitis C virus infection, which is one of the most common chronic viral infections worldwide, may cause secondary chronic immune thrombocytopenic purpura. It seemed to play a pathogenic role in autoimmune thrombocytopenic purpura. Moreover, the successful response (negative hepatitis C virus - ribonucleic acid) to tapered steroids and antiviral therapy was useful to revert thrombocytopenia

NCT ID: NCT03166943 Recruiting - Hepatitis Clinical Trials

the Possible Effect of the Antiviral Inhibitors for Treatment of Hepatitis C Virus Infection in Cardiac Function

Start date: May 10, 2017
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

It has been known for many years that the heart and the liver are intimately related. There is a mutual interaction between the function of the heart and the liver and a broad spectrum of acute and chronic entities that affect both the heart and the liver. Chronic hepatitis C virus infection affects more than 3% (170 million) of the world's population.

NCT ID: NCT03160651 Recruiting - Alcoholic Hepatitis Clinical Trials

Corticosteroids in Alcoholic Hepatitis

Start date: February 9, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Approximately 50% of patients admitted for severe AH will have spontaneous improvement of liver function before initiation of therapy (ie decrease in mDF between hospital admission and initiation of steroids). These patients have a better prognosis than patients without spontaneous improvement of liver function. It has never been demonstrated that corticosteroids improve survival in severe AH patients with spontaneous improvement of liver function. Our hypothesis is that severe AH patients with spontaneous improvement of liver function represent a group who could most benefit from steroids

NCT ID: NCT03146884 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Hepatitis, Autoimmune

Swiss Autoimmune Hepatitis Cohort Study

Start date: February 16, 2017
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

Research project in which biological material is sampled and health-related personal data is further used and collected. Coded data are used.

NCT ID: NCT03135886 Recruiting - Hepatitis C Clinical Trials

Project I Test: Implementing HIV Testing in Opioid Treatment Programs

Start date: June 12, 2017
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study will test two active evidence-based "practice coaching" (PC) interventions to improve opioid treatment programs' (OTPs') provision and sustained implementation of on-site 1) HIV testing and linkage to care and 2) HIV/Hepatitis C virus (HCV) testing and linkage to care among patients seeking/receiving substance use disorder treatment. Aims are: Aim 1: To evaluate the effectiveness of the PC interventions on improving patient uptake of HIV testing in OTPs including the incremental impact of the HIV/HCV intervention on HIV testing. Aim 2: To examine, using mixed-methods, the impact of the PC interventions on the initiation and sustained provision of HIV testing and timely linkage to care. Aim 3: To evaluate the health outcomes, health care utilization, and cost-effectiveness of the PC interventions compared incrementally to one another and to the control condition. Primary Hypothesis: 1. The two PC interventions will result in significantly higher proportions of patients tested for HIV than the information control condition during the "initial impact" period (7-12 months post-randomization or T3), controlling for the proportion of patients tested during the baseline period, T1 (Primary) and during the "sustained impact" period, 13-18 months post-randomization or T4 (Secondary). 2. The HIV/HCV PC intervention will result in significantly higher proportions of patients tested for HIV than the HIV PC intervention during the initial impact period (7-12 months post-randomization or T3), controlling for the proportion of patients tested during the baseline period, T1 (Secondary) and during the "sustained impact" period, 13-18 months post-randomization or T4 (Secondary).

NCT ID: NCT03108794 Recruiting - Chronic Hepatitis B Clinical Trials

A Nation-wide Hospital-based Hepatitis B Registry:China Registry of Hepatitis B

Start date: June 30, 2012
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

CR-HepB registry started in June 30,2012 to collect HBV cases from general hospitals or specialized hospitals for infectious diseases in mainland China. Demographics, diagnosis, laboratory test results, family history and prescriptions were recorded. The main criteria for registration is HBsAg-positivity more than 6 months, and these patients will receive followed-up visits every three to six months.

NCT ID: NCT03099278 Recruiting - Chronic Hepatitis D Clinical Trials

Ezetimibe for Patients With Chronic Hepatitis D

Start date: January 2017
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

Ezetimibe possesses pharmacophore features to inhibit NTCP, the receptor required for HBV and HDV hepatocyte entry that include two hydrophobes and one hydrogen bond acceptor. Therapy with Ezetimibe may lead to decline in hepatitis D virus levels. The aim of the study is to evaluate the utility of Ezetimibe in patients with chronic HDV infection
