Hepatitis B is a form of liver disease caused by a DNA-virus, called hepatitis B virus (HBV). Infection can result in an inflammation of the liver parenchyma with various clinical manifestations ranging from an asymptomatic course to jaundice. After contact with the virus the immunological response of the host determines the clinical outcome leading to either viral clearance or a chronic infection. Although several factors are responsible for the development of chronic HBV-infection, one of the factors is a weak and transient CD8+ T-cell responses after HBV infection. In chronic hepatitis B, inflammation can lead to scarring which is the driving force to fibrosis and cirrhosis. Some immunological parameters, like a newly discovered subset of IL-17 producing T helper cells (Th17 cells), may influence the disease progression of HBV. In the cirrhotic patient, eventually there is an increased risk of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) leading to liver failure. Recent literature in Asian patients with chronic hepatitis B showed that serum HBV viral load is a strong predictor for the development of cirrhosis, independent of hepatitis B e- antigen status and serum alanine transaminase level. It is unclear whether these results can be extrapolated to non-Asian (Caucasian and African) populations because of differences in host (HLA background) and viral (HBV genotype) factors. The aim of this study is to elucidate the question whether historic HBV viral load is associated with the risk of HBV-related cirrhosis or mortality in a cohort of non-Asian individuals with chronic hepatitis B infection.

The last dose of DTPa-HBV-IPV/Hib will be given simultaneously with one dose of OPV vaccine.

All children in this booster study received a primary vaccination at 2, 3 and 4 months of age in study 113948 (NCT01248884). No new subjects will be enrolled in this booster study.

Cellular Immunity in Adult Hepatitis B-vaccinated Serologic Non-responders

Previous studies have shown that 5-10% of Hepatitis B Virus vaccine recipients produce none or to few antibodies after a standard immunization with 3 vaccines. These individuals are defined as non-responders. The investigators wish to investigate if mounting another kind of immune response, called the cellular immune (CMI) response, protects these non-responders. Aim/Hypothesis Primary aims: 1. To estimate the CMI response in serologic non-responders after receiving a standard course of HBV immunization Secondary aims: 2. To establish the prevalence of serological non-responders after a standard course of HBV vaccination. 3. To assess the safety of the vaccine. 4. Evaluate predictors of serologic non-response in young, healthy individuals receiving a standard course of HBV immunization 5. To compare the immunological profile before and after a standard HBV vaccination regimen on non-responders and responders 6. Establish a rapid test for measuring CMI after being HBV vaccinated. A total of 400 healthy volunteers receive a standard course of immunization with a combined hepatitis A and B vaccine (Twinrix®) at 0, 1, and 6 months. Blood is drawn at 0 and 8 months from all participants. The blood will be analysed to see if there is antibodies or/and if there is mounted a cellular immune response by measuring on parameters called cytokines.

This is a follow-up of the primary series vaccination schedule in Study A3L24 (NCT01177722). The objectives are: - To describe the antibody persistence to any antigen contained in the investigational DTaP-IPV-Hep B-PRP-T vaccine and Infanrix hexa™ prior to the booster dose - To describe the safety and immunogenicity of the booster dose of either DTaP-IPV-Hep B-PRP-T or Infanrix hexa™ vaccine. - To describe the immunogenicity of a booster dose of Prevenar™ given at 12 to 24 months.
