NCT ID: NCT05660720 Active, not recruiting - Healthy Subject Clinical Trials

Evaluate the Effect of Orelabrutinib on Cardiac Repolarization in Healthy Subjects

Start date: November 19, 2022
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

This is A Randomized, Blinded, Placebo- and Positive-Controlled, Four-Period, Crossover-Design Thorough QT/QTc (TQT) Study to Evaluate the Effect of Orelabrutinib on Cardiac Repolarization in Healthy Subjects

NCT ID: NCT05011799 Active, not recruiting - Prostate Carcinoma Clinical Trials

The Peer Genetic Study

Start date: January 8, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This trial studies how well a peer-based health education program works in reducing barriers and changing attitudes and beliefs of prostate cancer genetic screening in African American participants with or without a previous personal or family history of prostate cancer. Participating in a peer-based health educational program may help participants learn more about prostate cancer and how their personal or family history of disease may increase their risk of prostate cancer.

NCT ID: NCT04614155 Active, not recruiting - Healthy Subject Clinical Trials

Project Self in Improving Cervical Cancer Screening Rates in Hispanic and African American Women

Start date: August 27, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This trial studies if Project Self can improve the rate of cervical cancer screening in Hispanic and African American women living in Houston, Texas. Project Self may help to improve cervical cancer screening rates by providing human papillomavirus (HPV) self-collection kits, education, counseling, and navigation.

NCT ID: NCT04032106 Active, not recruiting - Healthy Subject Clinical Trials

HPV Vaccine Intervention for Young Sexual Minority Men

Start date: October 3, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This phase III trial studies how well the Outsmart HPV intervention works in increasing HPV vaccine initiation and completion among young individuals who report having a history of same-sex partners, being sexually attracted to males, or identify as gay, bisexual, or queer (i.e., sexual minority males). The Outsmart HPV intervention, which is a population-targeted, individually-tailored mHealth intervention that includes vaccine reminders, may increase HPV vaccine initiation and completion among unvaccinated young sexual minority individuals.

NCT ID: NCT03491176 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Head and Neck Cancer

Magnetic Resonance (MR) Imaging & Blood Biomarkers for Head and Neck Cancer

Start date: May 18, 2017
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The goal of this research study is to find out if using additional MRIs and biomarker testing can help researchers learn to predict how the tumor may change during radiation therapy. Biomarkers are found in the blood/tissue and may be related to participant's reaction to treatment. Biomarker testing in the study may include genetic biomarkers. This is an investigational study. MRIs on this study are performed using FDA-approved and commercially available methods. Having added scans and blood tests is investigational. Up to 100 participants will be enrolled in this study (up to 80 patients and up to 20 healthy volunteers in another part of the study). All will take part at MD Anderson.

NCT ID: NCT03303846 Active, not recruiting - Healthy Subject Clinical Trials

Combined Breast MRI and Biomarker Strategies in Identifying High-risk Breast Cancer Patients

Start date: October 13, 2017
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This clinical trial studies normal breast tissue changes combined with breast magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) that may suggest the beginnings of cancer development. Using breast tissue markers in combination with breast imaging such as MRI may help to more accurately assess a woman's risk of developing breast cancer.

NCT ID: NCT03199365 Active, not recruiting - Healthy Subject Clinical Trials

Tu Salud Si Cuenta Intervention in Increasing Physical Activity and Healthy Eating Among Latino Families

Start date: June 10, 2016
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This trial studies how a program to encourage healthy behaviors (Tu Salud Si Cuenta) works to increase physical activity and healthy eating habits among Latino families. Improving physical activity and healthy eating habits may help in preventing cancer-related diseases and lead to a better quality of life among Latino families.

NCT ID: NCT02664883 Active, not recruiting - Healthy Subject Clinical Trials

Myeloid Derived Suppressor Cells Clinical Assay in Finding Kidney Cancer

Start date: September 8, 2015
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This pilot research trial studies the use of the Myeloid Derived Suppressor Cells Clinical Assay in finding and monitoring kidney cancer. Studying samples of blood and urine from patients with kidney cancer in the laboratory may aid doctors in the early detection of cancer, monitor tumor response to therapy, detect the presence of occult spreading of disease, and identify early return of disease.

NCT ID: NCT02610023 Active, not recruiting - Healthy Subject Clinical Trials

Food Frequency Questionnaires in Estimating Food Nutrient Intake in Healthy Young Adults

Start date: January 2015
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Fruits and vegetables are an important source of many different phytochemicals that may affect health and accurate dietary assessement tools to quantitate dietary intake are essential. This study will evaluate the correlation of dietary carotenoid intake estimated from two common and one novel food frequency questionnaire (FFQ) with estimated carotenoid intake from 3 day diet records as well as measured blood and skin concentrations of carotenoids. This study will be conducted in healthy adults. These tools may be effective in estimating the level of these compounds in an average diet.

NCT ID: NCT02513407 Active, not recruiting - Healthy Subject Clinical Trials

Eat, Move, Live Intervention in Reducing Chronic Disease Risk in Medically Vulnerable Communities

Start date: April 6, 2016
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This randomized pilot research trial studies how well Eat, Move, Live (EML) works in reducing chronic disease risk in medically vulnerable communities. Obesity, unhealthy diet, and physical inactivity are linked to increased cancer risk, especially hormone-related cancer (example, breast cancer). Improving healthy lifestyle practices, namely increasing physical activity and encouraging healthy eating behaviors may reduce the risk of getting cancer and chronic disease.
