Filter by:The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety, tolerability and maximum tolerated dose of tislelizumab in combination with pamiparib plus chemoradiotherapy (chemotherapy and radiation) in individuals with recurrent head and neck cancer, which means that the person's cancer has come back after treatment. Participation in the study should last for about 15 months while participants receive tislelizumab and chemoradiotherapy with pamiparib. Afterwards, they will return to the clinic for follow up every 4 months for 2 years, every 6 month for the next 2 years, and then once a year for the rest of their life.
This clinical trial tests whether adding the use of a pneumatic compression system with manual lymphatic drainage versus manual lymphatic drainage alone in treating patients with lymphedema after chemoradiation for stage II-IV head and neck cancer. Lymphedema can be the result of surgery, radiation therapy, chemotherapy or any combination of these procedures. Internal lymphedema has been shown to negatively affect speech production, swallowing, respiration, and voice. Flexitouch is an advanced pneumatic compression device (APCD) that consists of a 2-piece garment that provides pressure changes to move lymph fluid from the impaired area toward healthy regions of the body. Complete decongestive therapy (CDT) is standard of care for treating external lymphedema and involves manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) performed by licensed therapists followed by compression therapy. CDT has long been used for treating lymphedema of the limbs. Combining a pneumatic compression system with standard of care manual lymphatic drainage may have positive effects on speech, voice, and swallowing.

Collecting and storing samples of blood and tissue from patients with and without cancer to study in the laboratory may help researchers develop tests for the early detection of cancers.
This study explores the use of the Hugo platform to involve study participants in their healthcare and treatments. The Hugo platform may allow researchers to collect better and more accurate real-time health data, from other clinics/hospitals, pharmacies and other electronic devices. The purpose of this research is to see if the use of the Hugo platform is consistent, accurate, cost effective, and time efficient, as it collects and transmits important real-time health information from other clinics/hospitals, pharmacies, and other electronic devices.
This clinical trial improves an existing pain management program and tests its effect on head and neck cancer survivors. This trial aims to find a better program to improve pain-related physical functioning, mood, and quality of life in a sample of individuals who have undergone treatment for head and neck cancer.
This phase II trial compares different pain management interventions (standard of care [SOC], neurofeedback [NFB] training, and compassionate high alert team [CHAT]) in patients diagnosed with head and neck cancer who are at risk of developing non-medical opioid use (NMOU). The current standard treatment includes regular clinic visits and supportive care and counseling (including topics like patient-doctor communication, cancer care goals, financial issues counseling, and other topics). NFB training is a type of therapy that uses an electroencephalograph (EEG) and a computer software program to measure brain wave activity. The goal of NFB is to help teach patients with pain how to change their own brain waves to lower their feelings of pain and help improve their quality of life. CHAT is a supportive care intervention that includes symptom and pain management, counseling (about pain, symptoms, opioid use and safety, stress, and quality of life), and support for patients and their family members. NFB and CHAT may help to manage pain and lower patient use of opioids.
This clinical trial tests whether intensity modulated proton therapy after surgery works to shrink tumors in patients with head and neck cancer. Radiation therapy uses high energy protons to kill tumor cells and shrink tumors.
This clinical trial studies the effect of StrataXRT in preventing and treating radiation dermatitis in breast cancer or head and neck cancer patients. Radiotherapy is often associated with multiple side effects. These side effects can cause patient injury and make it difficult to complete treatment. For example, radiation dermatitis or skin damage may result in severe skin peeling and skin irritation. Depending on the location of radiation, the skin damage can cause problems and be tough to heal. This trial aims to see whether StrataXRT may help to prevent dermatitis after radiation therapy.
This study investigates a device that closely monitors vital signs, as well as a smartphone application (app) that allows patients to respond to different questions and tests that will monitor for new symptoms. This study may help researchers understand if wearing the device is a better tool than standard vital sign assessment tools done only while at the doctor's office or hospital, and if using the smartphone app is a better tool than standard assessment tools used while in the doctor's office or hospital.
Phase 2, multicenter, single-arm, open-label basket study designed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of milademetan in patients with advanced or metastatic solid tumors refractory or intolerant to standard-of-care therapy that exhibit wild-type (WT) TP53 and MDM2 copy number (CN) ≥ 8 using prespecified biomarker criteria.
