NCT ID: NCT00515073 Completed - Endometrial Cancer Clinical Trials

Papillary Serous Carcinoma of the Endometrium

Start date: April 2001
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

Primary Objectives: - To evaluate the results of Paclitaxel and pelvic radiation in pelvic confined papillary serous carcinoma of the endometrium for both local control and overall survival. - To evaluate the toxicity of Paclitaxel and pelvic radiation. - To collect and evaluate patients' quality of life/symptom assessment data.

NCT ID: NCT00513786 Completed - Endometrial Cancer Clinical Trials

Evaluation of Carboplatin/Paclitaxel/Bevacizumab in the Treatment of Advanced Stage Endometrial Carcinoma

Start date: August 1, 2007
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

Purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of the drug combination carboplatin, paclitaxel, and bevacizumab(Avastin) in patients with advanced stage endometrial carcinoma.

NCT ID: NCT00508703 Completed - Cervical Cancer Clinical Trials

Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy (IMRT) for the Pelvis Post-Hysterectomy

Start date: March 5, 2003
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

The goal of this clinical research study is to use CT scans to find any changes in position of the vagina and pelvic lymph node areas during the course of IMRT radiation therapy. Treatment can then be adjusted in order to "spare" as much normal tissue as possible during radiation therapy. Another goal is to study the side effects of IMRT radiation therapy.

NCT ID: NCT00507741 Completed - Ovarian Cancer Clinical Trials

Study of Vintafolide (MK-8109, EC145) in Participants With Advanced Ovarian and Endometrial Cancers (MK-8109-007, EC-FV-02)

Start date: August 2007
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This is a Phase II clinical trial evaluating the benefit from therapy with vintafolide in participants with advanced ovarian and endometrial cancers.

NCT ID: NCT00505739 Completed - Endometrial Cancer Clinical Trials

Mifepristone for Patients With Endometrial Cancer and LGESS

Start date: September 2001
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

Primary Objectives: 1. To determine the antitumor activity of Mifepristone (RU-486) in patients with advanced or recurrent endometrioid adenocarcinoma or low grade endometrial stromal sarcoma (LGESS). 2. To evaluate the quantitative and qualitative toxicities of Mifepristone in this patient population. 3. To evaluate at a tissue level the effect of Mifepristone on estrogen and progesterone receptors post treatment and to evaluate other markers that may reflect effects of Mifepristone on cancer cell growth. 4. To evaluate the effect of the agent and dosing schedule on the patient's quality of life.

NCT ID: NCT00495235 Completed - Endometrial Cancer Clinical Trials

Study of Insulin Resistance and Endometrial Cancer in Harris County, Texas

Start date: October 2005
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

The goal of this clinical research study is to find out if there is a link between insulin resistance (or pre-diabetes) and endometrial cancer. Primary Objective: 1. To determine the association between insulin resistance and endometrial cancer in women in Harris County, Texas. 2. To assess the effect of body mass index (BMI) on the association between insulin resistance and endometrial cancer. Secondary Objectives: 1. To explore the association between polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) and endometrial cancer. 2. To assess the relationship between known reproductive risk factors, menstrual risk factors, family history and endometrial cancer. 3. To explore the molecular changes associated with insulin resistance and PCOS on normal endometrium and tumor tissue.

NCT ID: NCT00483327 Completed - Clinical trials for Endometrial Carcinoma

Management of Atypical Endometrial Hyperplasia and Endometrial Carcinoma Using Megestrol Acetate

Start date: June 2007
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this trial is to study the efficacy, toxicity, and tolerability of a standard hormonal regimen of Megestrol Acetate (Megace) in the treatment of Atypical Endometrial Hyperplasia or well to moderately differentiated endometrial carcinoma.

NCT ID: NCT00482300 Completed - Endometrial Cancer Clinical Trials

Systematic Pelvic Lymphadenectomy Versus no Lymphadenectomy in Clinical Stage I-II Endometrial Cancer

Start date: n/a
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this trial is to determine whether the addition of systematic pelvic lymphadenectomy to hysterectomy with bilateral adnexectomy improves disease-free survival (DFS) and overall survival (OS) in patients with preoperatively supposed Stage I-II endometrial cancer

NCT ID: NCT00474994 Completed - Ovarian Cancer Clinical Trials

Sunitinib in Treating Patients With Metastatic, Locally Advanced, or Locally Recurrent Sarcomas

Start date: April 2007
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

RATIONALE: Sunitinib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth and by blocking blood flow to the tumor. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying how well sunitinib works in treating patients with metastatic, locally advanced, or locally recurrent sarcomas.

NCT ID: NCT00462969 Completed - Endometrial Cancer Clinical Trials
