The purpose of this study is to determine whether Non Invasive Ventilation are effective in prevention of reperfusion pulmonary edema after pulmonary artery angioplasty. Our hypothesis is that administration of Non Invasive Ventilation during the procedure and systematically in post procedure period is a protective factor against the development and severity of reperfusion pulmonary edema.

Peripheral and Macular Retinal Vascular Perfusion and Leakage in DME and RVO

This interventional study will evaluate the retinal vascular dynamics associated with Intravitreal Aflibercept Injection (IAI) therapy in eyes with diabetic macular edema (DME) or macular edema secondary to retinal vein occlusion (RVO). Ultra-widefield fluorescein angiography and optical coherence tomography (OCT) angiography will be performed at multiple timepoints to assess the changes in retinal vascular leakage, ischemia, and vascular abnormalities throughout the study duration and compare these alterations to baseline.

Oedematous Lower Limb Subcutaneous Drainage in Palliative Care

- Background : Edema of lower extremities is a concern ranging from 19 % to 60% of palliative cancer patients. Lymphedema decreases mobility, induces pain, impacts daily activities, esthetic and behavior. Usual treatment is based on diuretics and physiotherapy but is often unsuccessful. In case of conventional treatment failure, in palliative care, subcutaneous drainage can be discussed with the patients. The technique is simple, easy to use but remains off the record. Since 2004, 23 cases were reported with various methods. All the cases reported were undertaken with various technical approaches and efficacy criteria. - Purpose : Investigator hypothesize that the subcutaneous drainage of edema (SDO) is effective in case of refractory lymphedema of the lower limbs in palliative care and leads to an improvement in QOL in terms of behavioral and autonomy.

Dexamethasone Intravitreal Implant for the Treatment of Persistent Diabetic Macular Edema

Laser photocoagulation and intravitreal anti-vascular growth factor injections are commonly used treatment options for individuals with diabetic macular edema. However, some patients continue to experience persistent diabetic macular edema and poor vision despite continued laser and/or anti-vegf therapy. Recent clinical trials suggest that due to inflammatory mediators dexamethasone intravitreal implant (0.7mg) may be a good alternative therapy for individuals unresponsive to laser photocoagulation or intravitreal anti-vascular growth factor injections. The purpose of this research study is to compare the effectiveness of using a dexamethasone steroid implant versus monthly intravitreal anti-VEGF injections for research participants with persistent diabetic macular edema (DME).

Objectives: To compare the efficacy of monotherapy with anti-Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (ranibizumab or bevacizumab) with combined therapy with anti-Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor and end-point-management grid laser photocoagulation for diabetic macular edema. Study design: Open-label non-randomized interventional study. Study overview: This study aims to look at the efficacy of treating diabetic macular edema (DME) with either anti-Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor(anti-VEGF) monotherapy, compared with combination therapy with anti-VEGF and End-Point-Management (EPM) grid laser photocoagulation, over a period of 6 months. Various sites from across Asia (Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong) will participate. Depending on the availability of EPM laser, sites can either contribute to the 'Anti-VEGF monotherapy' arm, or to the 'Combination therapy' arm.

Primary Objectives: Pilot Portion: To determine the feasibility and safety of administering oral glyburide to non-diabetic patients receiving stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) for newly diagnosed brain metastases. Randomized Portion: To determine the number of patients with newly diagnosed brain metastases who have an increase in edema as measured on volumetric FLAIR imaging and the number of patients that require dexamethasone administration (or any corticosteroid administration with the purpose of treating cerebral edema) from the day of SRS to one month follow-up MRI in the group receiving glyburide versus placebo.
