Menstrual Health Education's Impact on Knowledge, Attitudes and Self Care Behavior of Dysmenorrheal Adolescents

This study will be a randomized controlled trial. This study will be conducted in F G modal for girls' I/8-4, Federal Government College for Women and Islamabad Model College for Girls. A sample size of 138 patients will be taken. Patients will be divided into two groups by lottery method. Group A will receive Educational sessions and informational pamphlet while Group B will only receive the pamphlets. Experimental group will receive for 4 sessions (2 per week). The outcome measures Menstrual Attitude Questionnaire (MAQ), Dysmenorrhoeic Knowledge Scale (DKS) and Dysmenorrhoeic Self-Care behavior Scale (DSCBS) will be measured at baseline, and at the end of week 2 and after 3 months. Data will be analyzed by SPSS 21.

Endometriosis is a common gynecological disease. It is a gynecological disease caused by the growth and reproduction of the endometrium beyond the surface of the uterine tissue and organs, which causes recurrent abdominal pain, infertility and other main symptoms. The recurrence of endometriosis and the side effects of medication have troubled clinicians and patients for a long time and the search for new drugs is going on all the time. Honghuaruyi Wan is the traditional Tibetan prescription, clinical research has proved that Honghuaruyi Wan can significantly reduce risk mouse dysmenorrhea caused by oxytocin, improve dysmenorrhea model of mice body torsion times and improve the estrogen and progestogen operator Netherlands rat pituitary estradiol and prolactin level, at the same time also can reduce the amount of TNF alpha, thus improving endometriosis dysmenorrhea. A multi-center, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial was designed to provide evidence-based medical evidence for Honghuaruyi Wan in the treatment of endometriosis dysmenorrhea. In the design of this trial, the therapeutic effects and safety of Honghuaruyi Wan in the treatment of dysmenorrhea secondary to endometriosis were evaluated with Honghuaruyi Wan in the treatment group and placebo in the control group.

This study is adressed to women with primary dysmenorrhea, it´s a gynecological disorder that is defined as colicky pain associated with menstruation and is located in the lower abdomen and in the lumbo-pelvic area. It appears between the first 8-72 hours and four days of the menstrual cycle and affects almost 85% of women, 30% of them severely. This study aims to demonstrate that osteopathic manual therapy is an effective therapeutic option in patients with primary dysmenorrhea. Another objective is to verify that osteopathic manual treatment provides an improvement in the intensity of pain, quality of life and a reduction in the consumption of medicines in these patients.

Aerobic Exercise for Primary Dysmenorrhea

Primary dysmenorrhea is common and can result in significant disability for many women, causing a high degree of discomfort and reduced quality of life (QoL). Our preliminary studies suggested that high-intensity aerobic training (HIAT) for 30 minutes, three times a week at 70%-85% of maximum heart rate was effective for decreasing pain and improving QoL in women suffering from primary dysmenorrhea. However, to date, no studies have evaluated the beneficial effects of HIAT on academic performance and absenteeism or the cost-effectiveness of HIAT for women with primary dysmenorrhea. Furthermore, the mechanisms underlying aerobic exercise-induced analgesia in primary dysmenorrhea remain unclear. Here, we propose a study to address this important knowledge gap by investigating the effects of HIAT on absenteeism and academic performance among university students with primary dysmenorrhea and examine the physiological mechanisms underlying aerobic exercise-induced analgesia by conducting a fully powered, randomised, controlled crossover trial. We also propose to conduct an economic evaluation to determine the cost-effectiveness of HIAT compared with a wait-listed control group receiving usual care, according to the societal and healthcare perspectives of Hong Kong. The results of this cutting-edge research will be important for clinicians, researchers, policymakers, and women with primary dysmenorrhea. The knowledge gained from the proposed study will be useful for researchers when designing future studies to identify the mediators of pain interventions for clinical improvements, which could themselves be the target of future interventions. The findings of the proposed study will inform decision-makers regarding the extent to which existing or standard and potential interventions can improve population health (effectiveness) and the resources required to implement these interventions (costs).

Lifestyle Influence on Primary Dysmenorrhea

There is a correlation between the effect of lifestyle and prevalence and severity of primary dysmenorrhea. We will collect data through an online questionnaire. This study is an attempt to elaborate on and clarify the prevalence and severity of primary dysmenorrhea in Jordan. This study has already been applied to other target populations therefore the purpose of this study is to establish solid numbers of dysmenorrhea prevalence in Jordan among the age group 18-25 and to exhibit a clear correlation between the lifestyle habits adopted by individuals and the intensity of dysmenorrhea present. The lifestyle factors chosen include body mass index (BMI), smoking, early menarche, prolonged menstrual flow and psychological disturbances. The significance of forming this relationship is to help raise awareness among the young generation of Jordanian women to improve on their adopted lifestyle habits in order to eventually lead to lower numbers of morbidity associated with dysmenorrhea
