To assess the efficacy of D961H 20 mg once daily (q.d.) versus placebo in continuous treatment involving patients with a history of gastric and/or duodenal ulcers receiving daily Low-dose aspirin therapy by evaluating time from randomisation to occurrence of gastric and/or duodenal ulcers.
Patients with endoscopically diagnosed active duodenal ulcer disease were enrolled in a randomized, double-blind, parallel and dose-ranging trial. They were randomly assigned into four groups to be treated for up to four weeks and be seen at week 1, 2 and 4: three of ilaprazole, 5, 10, and 20 mg/day, and one of omeprazole 20 mg/day as positive control. The primary endpoint was the ulcer healing rate at week 4. Healing of ulcer was determined by its resolution from active to scarring stage. Symptoms relief was evaluated as secondary end points by using a graded score. Safety and tolerability were evaluated on basis of clinical assessments.

The aims of this study are (1) to evaluate the prevalence rate of PM of CYP2C19 in our country; (2) to evaluate the efficacy of dual therapy with different dose of omeprazole and amoxicillin; (3) to judge the relationship of genotype of CYP2C19 and the eradication rate of dual therapy in the peptic ulcer patients; (4) to try to find out a predictor of success of dual therapy and an optimal dose of dual therapy as first-line and rescue anti-Helicobacter pylori regimen.

This study will determine how if MK0782 is safe and tolerable and to determine how often and the severity of stomach and small intestine ulcers develop following administration of MK0782 plus enteric coated aspirin, rofecoxib 25mg plus enteric coated aspirin, naproxen 500 mg puls enteric coated asprin vs placebo.
