NCT ID: NCT05613556 Completed - Diabetic Foot Clinical Trials

Monitoring Physiologic Parameters in Individuals With Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy

Start date: April 1, 2022
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The primary aim of this study is to use the Orpyx® SI Sensory Insole System (Orpyx Medical Technologies Inc., Calgary AB, Canada) ("Orpyx" or "the Company") as an adjunct to diabetic peripheral neuropathy standard of care (SOC), and observe step count, pressure, temperature, and adherence data through remote patient monitoring (RPM). This will provide insights into patient engagement and the benefits of offering remote, preventative care.

NCT ID: NCT05593133 Completed - Clinical trials for Diabetic Neuropathies

PNF and Gait Training on Balance and Gait in Diabetic Neueopathy Patients

Start date: January 5, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

To determine the effects of PNF and Gait Training Exercises on Balance and Gait in diabetic neuropathy patients . 40 patients will be explained in detail about the study procedure. Informed consent will be taken. Patients will be divided in two groups each consisting of 20 people. Subjects will be evaluated using the Michigan Neuropathy Screening Questionnaire (screening tool) . One group will be tested by PNF techniques and the second group will be tested by Gait Training exercises. Balance will be assessed by Berg Balance scale (BBS) and Tinetti scale before, during and after the study to assess risk of fall and injury. Gait will be assessed by Dynamic Gait index in the same manner. All patients will be followed up with the therapist regularly twice a week for 30 minutes session each for a duration of 8 weeks.

NCT ID: NCT05580705 Completed - Clinical trials for Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy

Effects of Vibration Therapy in Addition to Routine Physical Therapy in Patients With Diabetic Neuropathy

Start date: September 22, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The study is aimed to determine the effects of sole-foot vibration therapy on pain intensity, static and dynamic balance, functional status and satisfaction to the intervention applied on patients with peripheral neuropathy due to type 2 diabetes mellitus.

NCT ID: NCT05573685 Completed - Clinical trials for Rheumatoid Arthritis

Basket Study (CT-100-002) to Evaluate the Effects of a DiNaMoâ„¢ Component Training

Start date: October 10, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

CT-100 is a platform that provides interactive, software based therapeutic components that may be used as part of a multimodal treatment in supplementary or standalone prescription or nonprescription software-based digital therapeutics (PDT/DTx), being developed by Click Therapeutics, Inc. (Click).

NCT ID: NCT05565924 Completed - Clinical trials for Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy

Alter-G Training on Gait and Balance in Diabetic Neuropathy Patients

Start date: January 2, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy and associated complications became globally serious arousing health problems. Aim: To evaluate the effect of Antigravity treadmill training on gait performance and functional balance in patients with Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy. Design: Single-blinded randomized controlled trial. Setting: Outpatient rehabilitation unit. Population: Sixty-eight eligible participants with Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy were randomly allocated to Five groups: group-A (100% weight-bearing; n=14), group-B (70% weight-bearing; n=13), group-C (50% weight-bearing; n=14), group-D (30% weight-bearing; n=13), group-E (control group; n=14). Methods: Participants in study groups A, B, C, and D received moderate intensity (50-70% heart rate reserve) aerobic exercise training program on the antigravity treadmill (AlterG, Inc., Fremont, CA, USA) 3 times/week for 12-weeks. The gait performance (using the dynamic gait index) and the functional balance (using the Berg balance scale) variables were evaluated at 3-time points: baseline (evaluation-1), after 12 training weeks (evaluation-2), and 3 months post-training cessation (evaluation-3).

NCT ID: NCT05542901 Completed - Amputation Clinical Trials

Comparison of Joint Position Sense in Diabetic and Traumatic Transtibial Amputees

Start date: September 13, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study evaluated the effect of joint position sense on compliance with the prosthesis, balance and functional performance in individuals with lower extremity amputation due to diabetic polyneuropathy. Study group consisted of 16 subjects with unilateral transtibial amputation due to diabetic polyneuropathy and control group consisted of 16 subjects with unilateral transtibial amputation due to traumatic reasons.

NCT ID: NCT05507697 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy Type 2

Treatment With Human Umbilical Cord Mesenchymal Stem Cells for Refractory Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy

Start date: May 19, 2022
Phase: Phase 1/Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy (DPN) is one of the most common chronic complications in type 2 diabetes, conventional drug therapy can only target a single pathogenesis but not treat Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy (DPN) fundamentally. As a novel technique, stem cell transplantation provides a new option for patients with DPN. In 2012, Wuhan Central Hospital, took the lead in carrying out clinical research on the treatment of DPN with autologous bone marrow stem cells in China, and patients were significantly relieved. Based on this research, our clinical trial is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of HUC-MSCs in the treatment of refractory diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN) by formulating standard operating procedures (SOP) and quality standards (QS) to explore the possible mechanism of HUC-MSCs in the treatment of DPN.
