Filter by:The aim of this trial is to assess the efficacy of 0416 Ointment in the Treatment of Atopic Dermatitis. Treatment medication will be administered as follows: Apply a thin layer of ointment to affected skin areas twice daily and rub in gently and completely. Study medication will be applied twice a day, approximately 12 hours apart, for approximately 2 weeks.
The purpose of this research study is to better understand how fluocinonide cream 0.1% (Vanos®) works when people use it to treat atopic dermatitis for just a few days.

The investigators' primary objective is to identify common and rare mutations in the filaggrin gene in African American patients with a diagnosis of atopic dermatitis and ichthyosis vulgaris. Atopic dermatitis, or eczema, is a common, chronic, relapsing and remitting problem in many children and affects 10-20% of the pediatric population. Itch is a predominant feature of this disease and is quite disruptive to daily activities of life. In addition to itch, it is characterized by markedly dry skin, small red bumps that may have fluid. Ichthyosis vulgaris is characterized by extremely dry, scaly skin with a fine white scale and increased amounts of lines noted on the palms. Filaggrin is a protein that is essential for the skin to function properly as a barrier and found to be mutated in some European patients with ichthyosis vulgaris and atopic dermatitis. This association has not been looked at in the African American population. Genomic DNA (gDNA) will be purified from buccal swabs using commercially available kits and analyzed.
The objective of the study is to examine whether 8 weeks intervention with probiotics influence the eczema in infants suffering from Atopic Dermatitis. Furthermore the influence of the immunologic status and the intestinal microflora, inflammation and permeability will be investigated.

This study is an evaluation of the role of topical dissolved oxygen to lessen visible signs of photodamage using a select regimen of topical dissolved oxygen containing cosmeceutical products. Evaluation of the overall skin tolerability of topical dissolved oxygen (safety) utilizing the regimen of products.
The purpose of this study is to determine if an asynchronous online model of teledermatology can achieve similar clinical outcomes as compared to conventional in-office care for the management of atopic dermatitis. The investigators also aim to determine the effects of this online care model on patient quality of life as well as patient and physician satisfaction. The investigators' hypotheses include the following: 1. Compared to in-person visits, the online care model will result in similar clinical improvement in atopic dermatitis disease severity. 2. Compared to in-person visits, the online care model will result in similar improvements in quality of life. 3. Providers and subjects in the online group will achieve a similar level of overall satisfaction as those in the in-person group.
This study is to investigate the efficacy and safety of M516102 and to evaluate the dose response relationship of M516102 and placebo, in the treatment of pruritus associated with atopic dermatitis.
