Filter by:Arabic is one of the most spoken languages in the world; however, the CARIES-QC questionnaire which evaluate the effect of oral diseases and disorders on children's oral health-related quality of life has not yet been validated in Arabic speaking children. So the purpose of this study was to translate the CARIES-QC into Arabic and test the measurement properties of the Arabic version of the CARIES-QC for use in children with dental caries who speaks Arabic .
Context: CEMENT PBS CIMMO DTA® has physical and biological properties that classify it as a biocompatible material and inducer of biomineralization, attributes that qualify it as material as an indirect pulp capper in permanent tooth restorations. Objective: The present clinical study proposes the use of PBS CIMMO DTA® cement as an indirect pulp capper, in resin restorations composed of permanent molars and premolars. The objective was to minimize postoperative sensitivity arising from restorative procedures. Method: Randomized clinical trial with two arms, double blind, interventional, prospective. The sample consisted of 20 male patients, with an average age of 20 years. Totaling 70 teeth to be treated. The teeth were divided into two groups: Group R (Control Group, n = 35), treated with a standard restorative procedure. Group D (Study group n = 35), treated using CEMENT PBS CIMMO DTA®, as an indirect capper of the pulp wall. The evaluation was carried out by a masked examiner for both groups. Sensitivity tests were performed before the restorative procedure, at 48 hours, 7, 15 and 30 days after the procedure. The analysis included pain caused by thermal stimuli: Cold Test (TM); horizontal (TPH) and vertical (TPV) percussion; Bite Test (TM) and Pain Decline Time (DD) was measured. Measured using Visual Analog Scale (EVA).
The main aim of the study is to currently define the prevalence of celiac disease (CD) in children aged 5-10 years in 2 Italian cities (Ancona and Verona). The screening protocol is based on a 1st line genetic test (searche of HLA DQ2/DQ8 genotypes) followed by a serological diagnosis (IgA TTG and IgG DGP).

The aim of this study is to evaluate the quantity of Biorepair Total Protection toothpaste on composite surfaces inside oral cavity. Three orthodontic lingual buttons are bonded on the vestibular surfaces of upper right premolars (1.4 and 1.5) and upper right first molars (1.6) of volunteers. A composite resine is applied upon them. Then, after 7 days, 1.4 button will be debonded; after 15 days, 1.5 button are debonded; in the end, after 30 days the last button (1.6) is debonded. The buttons will be stored in sterile environment and then sent to laboratory for SEM evaluation.
This observational cohort study aims to evaluate the short-term (3 months) efficacy of the standard fluoride therapy in the German National Health System for managing hypersensitive carious lesions in primary teeth (fluoride varnish application), and further compare it to a different fluoride therapy utilizing a silver-containing fluoride agent combined with potassium iodide solution.

Dental caries is one of the most common oral diseases of childhood and is considered as a major public health problem especially in areas with poor access to dental care. In a recent cross sectional study carried out in Egypt on 1000 child aged from 3-6 years, it was found that 61.4% of these children had dental caries. In order to avoid serious complications of untreated dental caries such as pain, infections, emergency visits and possibly hospitalization , an effective low cost treatment should be identified particularly in areas with poor dental access.
