Accuracy of Lung Ultrasound in the Diagnosis of covid19 Pneumonia

Is Lung Ultrasound really useful in diagnosing COVID19? What can be the usefulness of the Lung Ultrasound in the COVID19 epidemic? In the current state of the art, Sensitivity, Specificity, Positive Predictive Value (PPV) and Negative Predictive Value (NPV) of Lung Ultrasound in the diagnosis of COVID-19 are not yet known. Alveolar-interstitial lung diseases such as viral pneumonia and ARDS seems to have a specific ultrasound pattern that distinguishes them from bacterial pneumonia, preferentially represented by B lines, morphological irregularity of the pleural line, and small subpleural consolidations, but they could share these patterns with other pathologies, reducing specificity. In Italy, the Lung Ultrasound represents a consolidated method for the evaluation and management of all patients who come to the ER, and what we are sure of is its high sensitivity in identifying pathological patterns. Our preliminary data suggest that Lung Ultrasound is highly reliable not to include but to exclude the diagnosis of COVID-19 in patients with respiratory symptoms.

A longitudinal survey is distributed via a network of hospitals, provincial/national organizations and web platforms. The survey information can be linked to provincial health administrative data and metrics derived from social media activity based on artificial intelligence methods. Targeted questions are included for critical populations such as healthcare workers and people with chronic illnesses.

Anxiety And Depression During COVID-19 IN INDIA

1. To understand the prevalence of symptoms of Depression and Anxiety in general population during COVID-19 in India 2. To understand correlation between COVID-19 related factors and mental health symptomology in the general population in India Hypothesis: There is likelihood of significant symptoms of depression and anxiety among general population in India during the current COVID-19 outbreak. Procedure: The participants would be selected with their informed consent. The objective of the study would be clearly written on Page 1 of the survey. The test would be administered electronically by all the participants individually only when consented to the study. The data collected will be kept strictly confidential and the identity of the participants will not be disclosed at any point of the research Measures: 1. Assess the Seroconversion Status of Health Care Workers Suspected or Confirmed Cases of COVID-19 Patients

A large number of Health Care Workers (HCWs) would be potentially getting exposed to COVID19. Some of them would be asymptomatic or may get subclinical symptoms. Our HCW would have higher exposure and possibly higher seroconversion either symptomatic or with clinical symptoms than the general population. This study is aimed to understand the rate of seroconversion states at different stages of exposure. It is crucial to collect baseline immune status and the early immunological changes that might occur in asymptomatic or symptomatic health care workers and to compare that with the suspected or confirmed cases by following them for six weeks.

Clinical Effects of Internet Assisted Pulmonary Rehabilitation of COVID-2019 Pneumonia Patients After Discharge

The noval coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) would cause physical and psychological dysfunctions in infected patients. We expect that an intelligence-based remote pulmonary rehabilitation scheme could improve patients' health status after hospital discharge. The intelligence-based remote pulmonary rehabilitation program is designed in a real-world and prospective manner, aiming to evaluate the efficacy of rehabilitation among 200 patients in the epicenter of China (Wuhan City) according to their varied adherence. An eight-week rehabilitation scheme, including two weeks for physicians and physiotherapists remotely guided training, and six weeks for patient self-management, will be addressed. The primary outcome of current study is six-minute walking distance and lung function, and secondly respiratory muscle strength, physical fitness assessment, symptoms and quality of life, etc. will also be assessed. Recruited patients will be followed up at week 2, 4, 8 after enrollment and at month 1, 3, 6, 12 after the rehabilitation training completed, respectively. The study has been approved by the ethics committee of China-Japan Friendship Hospital and three participating centers in Wuhan City.

Influenza Vaccination, ACEI and ARB in the Evolution of SARS-CoV2 Infection

Some authors have proposed the use of the flu vaccine to reduce the severity of COVID-19 cases, while some have proposed the use of ACE Inhibitors (ACEI) or Angiotensin Receptor blockers (ARB), since this virus shares hemagglutinin as a transmission mechanism and acts on the ACE2 enzyme during infection. Other authors described how none of the elderly patients receiving antihistamines and azythromycin in two nursing homes in Toledo -Spain- during the first wave died or needed hospital admission, even considering that 100% of residents had a positive serological test after that wave. Other authors have described a positive evolution in patients receiving amantadine for their Parkinson's disease. The aim is to evaluate whether the admitted patients who are previously vaccinated or those who were already receiving these treatments showed a better evolution.

ARMOR Study: COVID-19 Seroprevalence Among Healthcare Workers

The novel coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) has spread all around the world and testing has posed a challenge globally. Health care providers are highly exposed and are an important group to test. On top of these concerns, health care workers are also stressed by the needs on responders in the COVID-19 crisis. The investigators will look at different ways to measure how common COVID-19 is among health care workers, how common is the presence of antibodies by serological tests (also known as serostatus). The investigators will describe health worker mental and emotional well-being and their coping strategies in their institutional settings. Lastly, the investigators will describe how knowing serostatus can affect individuals' mental and emotional well-being and how to cope in the midst of the COVID-19 response. This will help to how to better test and help healthcare workers in the COVID-19 pandemic and prepare for possible future outbreaks.
