There are about 3194 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Portugal. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The WRAP Study aims to expand and understand the safety and efficacy data on the WRAPSODY Endoprosthesis System in a real-world population.
The study is intended to assess the safety and efficacy of perioperative treatment with Durvalumab in combination with Oleclumab, Monalizumab or AZD0171 and platinum doublet chemotherapy (CTX); or Volrustomig in combination with platinum doublet chemotherapy or datopotamab deruxtecan (Dato-DXd) in combination with durvalumab and single agent platinum chemotherapy in participants with resectable, early-stage non-small cell lung cancer.
HIV-positive patients, women with a history of genital neoplasia and patients under pharmacologically immunosuppression (e.g. transplanted recipients, Crohn´s disease and Lupus) are a high-risk population for anal human-papillomavirus infection and associated complications, like anal precancerous lesions and anal squamous cell carcinoma. There is a lack of information on the prevalence of anal precancerous detected by routine colonoscopy in this population, by evaluating the squamocolumnar junction (the most susceptible area for lesions) during this procedure. Given, the increasing incidence rates of anal squamous cell carcinoma expected for the next two decades and the increase number of at-risk patients, the possible benefit of routine endoscopy in the diagnosis of anal precancerous lesions needs to be further explored.
After a single-tooth extraction, physiological remodeling processes are unavoidable which leads to a total loss of the periodontal ligament and resorption of the bundle bone. Immediate implant placement associated with bone substitutes and customized healing abutments seems to reduce the amount of resorption at peri-implant areas. Recently, studies evaluating the use of a connective tissue grafts are being conducted in order to assess possible final outcome advantages in immediate implant procedures. This study aims to evaluate peri-implant tissue dimensional changes after the use of a customized healing abutment with or without connective tissue graft in flapless maxillary immediate implant placement.
The main aim of this study is to: - evaluate safety and efficacy (per Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumors version 1.1 [RECIST 1.1] by investigator) of 2 dose levels of tarlatamab for Part 1 only - evaluate anti-tumor activity of tarlatamab as determined by objective response rate (ORR) per RECIST 1.1 by blinded independent central review (BICR) for Part 1 and 2 - evaluate safety of reduced mandatory monitoring period in Cycle 1 at selected dose of tarlatamab for Part 3
The objective of this survey is to investigate the current state of sepsis care around Europe. The study is aiming at hospital structure, emergency departments, wards, intensive care units and clinical diagnostic and microbiological service.
The present work proposes to find if a bio-active composite in the hemolymph or plasma of the freshwater bivalve Anodonta cygnea is able to offer immunity and specificity for meliorating the major symptoms in human SARS and COVID-19 lineage infection. The Methodology concerns in silico procedures using organic fluids from 54 bivalves (in very specific conditions) to evaluate their therapeutic effects in 6 voluntary SARS and COVID-19 infected persons with an integrative diagnosis by a computational Mora®Nova apparatus to access the basal and experimental human physiological parameters.
This study is investigating how Mim8 works compared to other medicines in people with haemophilia A, who either have inhibitors or do not have inhibitors. Mim8 is a new medicine that will be used for prevention of bleeding episodes. Mim8 works by replacing the function of the missing clotting factor VIII (FVIII). When and how often participants will receive Mim8 is dependent on their previous treatment - but is otherwise decided by chance. Mim8 will be injected into a skinfold on the stomach with a thin needle either once a week or once a month. The study will last 54-124 weeks (12-29 months) depending on how long participants will be followed in run-in before they start treatment and if they continue in the follow period or transfer to an open label extension study. Participants will have 12-17 clinic visits.
The main objective of this study is to compare efficacy of bemarituzumab combined with oxaliplatin, leucovorin, and 5-fluorouracil (5-FU) (mFOLFOX6) to placebo plus mFOLFOX6 as assessed by overall survival (OS) in participants with FGFR2b ≥10% 2+/3+ tumor cell staining (FGFR2b ≥10% 2+/3+TC)
Researchers are looking for a better way to treat people who have non-diabetic chronic kidney disease (non-diabetic CKD). The trial treatment, finerenone, is being developed to help people who have long lasting kidney disease, also known as chronic kidney disease (CKD). It works by blocking a certain hormone called aldosterone that causes injury and inflammation in the heart and kidney which is known to play a role in CKD. In this trial, the researchers want to learn if finerenone helps to slow down the worsening of the participants' non-diabetic CKD compared to a placebo. A placebo looks like a trial treatment but does not have any medicine in it. The trial will include about 1,580 men and women who are at least 18 years old. The participants will take finerenone or a placebo once a day as tablets by mouth. All of the participants will also continue to take their current medicine for their CKD. The participants will be in the trial for up to about 50 months. During the trial, the doctors will collect blood and urine samples and check the participants' health. The participants will also answer questions about how they are feeling and what adverse events they are having. An adverse event is a medical problem that happens during the trial. Doctors keep track of all adverse events that happen in trials, even if they do not think the adverse events might be related to the trial treatments.
