NCT ID: NCT01667458 Completed - Clinical trials for Rheumatoid Arthritis

An Observational Study on Fatigue in Patients With Rheumatoid Arthritis Treated With RoActemra/Actemra (Tocilizumab)

Start date: September 2011
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

This observational study will evaluate the presence and evolution of fatigue on treatment with RoActemra/Actemra (tocilizumab) in patients with moderate to severe rheumatoid arthritis who have an inadequate response to at least two DMARDs (one of them methotrexate) or to anti-TNF treatment. Patients initiated on treatment with RoActemra/Actemra (8 mg/kg intravenously every 4 weeks) with or without methotrexate will be followed for 4 months.

NCT ID: NCT01649362 Completed - Preterm Infant Clinical Trials

Effects of Prefeeding Oral Stimulation on Feeding Performance in Preterm Infants

Start date: June 2011
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The objective of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of an oral stimulation program on the length of the transition period in preterm infants (primary outcome), the length of hospital stay and the breastfeeding rates at discharge (secondary outcomes).

NCT ID: NCT01565967 Completed - Trauma Clinical Trials

Registry AutoLog Lipid Removal and Blood Component Characterization

Start date: December 2011
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

The purpose of this study is to show the success of the AutoLog System in removing lipids to less than 10mg/dl in vivo. The Autolog registry has two objectives: 1. to determine the lipid removal capabilities of the Medtronic AutoLog System. 2. to obtain in vivo data on blood component removal and washing capabilities of the Medtronic AutoLog System.

NCT ID: NCT01528163 Completed - Clinical trials for Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the Head and Neck

Study Comparing Two Treatments in Patients With Recurrent or Metastatic Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the Head and Neck

RACATREX
Start date: February 2012
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

In this clinical trial, the investigators want to know if cabazitaxel is more effective than methotrexate for patients with recurrent or metastatic squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck in palliative treatment.

NCT ID: NCT01520506 Completed - Clinical trials for Hypertension, Resistant to Conventional Therapy

Rapid Renal Sympathetic Denervation for Resistant Hypertension

RAPID
Start date: May 2012
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The Covidien OneShot™ ablation system use is to deliver low-level radio frequency (RF) energy through the wall of the renal artery to denervate the human kidney.

NCT ID: NCT01508286 No longer available - Hepatitis C Clinical Trials

Early Access Program of Telaprevir With Peginterferon and Ribavirin in Chronic Hepatitis C Subjects

Start date: n/a
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Expanded Access

The purpose of this early access program is to provide telaprevir to patients with a specific type of hepatitis C viral infection (termed 'genotype 1') who are expected to benefit from telaprevir-based therapy but who reside in countries in which telaprevir is not yet commercially available and who are not eligible for enrollment into a clinical study of telaprevir. The study also aims to collect information on the safety and adverse events with telaprevir treatment in combination with peginterferon alfa and ribavirin, which is typically used to treat patients with hepatitis C. In addition to hepatitis C viral infection, patients in this study will also have a diagnosis of liver fibrosis and compensated liver disease.

NCT ID: NCT01500616 Completed - Clinical trials for Hepatitis C, Chronic

Telaprevir Open-Label Study in Co-Infected Patients

Start date: June 2012
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to collect safety and tolerability data on telaprevir treatment in combination with Peg‑IFN‑alfa and RBV in patients with HIV/genotype 1 chronic HCV coinfection with severe fibrosis or compensated cirrhosis who are not eligible for enrollment into an ongoing clinical study of telaprevir.

NCT ID: NCT01475799 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Aortic Valve Stenosis

Percutaneous Aortic Valve 18F System for the Treatment of Patients With Severe Aortic Stenosis

Start date: November 2011
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of the study is to determine the safety and performance of the Direct Flow Medical study valve and delivery procedure.

NCT ID: NCT01442805 Completed - Flying Phobia Clinical Trials

Use of Virtual Reality in the Treatment of Flying Phobia

Start date: October 2008
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The project aims to explore the potential of Virtual Reality Exposure Therapy (VRET) for the treatment of the fear of driving, the fear of flying and the fear of public speaking. The study is a randomized controlled trial (RCT) designed to compare the efficiency of cognitive behavioural therapy with exposures in imagination to behavioural therapy with exposures in virtual reality. Anxiety levels are measured using specific questionnaires, SUD ratings and physiological measures (heart rate, skin conductance, skin temperature, breathing frequency, heart rate variability). Hypothesis: Treatments with exposures in virtual reality are more efficient than treatments with exposures in imagination.

NCT ID: NCT01381874 Completed - Postmenopausal Clinical Trials

A Study of Abiraterone Acetate Plus Prednisone With or Without Exemestane in Postmenopausal Women With Estrogen Receptor-Positive (ER+) Metastatic Breast Cancer Progressing After Letrozole or Anastrozole Therapy

Start date: August 24, 2011
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to assess the safety and efficacy of oral abiraterone acetate plus oral prednisone and oral abiraterone acetate plus oral prednisone plus oral exemestane, each compared with oral exemestane alone, in postmenopausal women with estrogen receptor-positive (ER+) metastatic (spreading) breast cancer that has relapsed after treatment with letrozole or anastrozole.
