NCT ID: NCT05512117 Completed - Clinical trials for Vascular Access Complication

Midline Catheters Versus Peripheral Catheters in Internal Medicine Unit

Start date: February 1, 2017
Phase: N/A

The study aims to evaluate the rate of complications and the duration of cannulation of a midline intravenous catheter compared to a short peripheral catheter in patients hospitalized in an Internal Medicine service of a Spanish hospital.

NCT ID: NCT05508152 Completed - Clinical trials for Postoperative Hernia

Prophylaxis of Surgical Wound Infection in Incisional Hernia Repair With Topical Antibiotics (PROTOP-PAR)

(PROTOP-PAR)
Start date: February 1, 2021
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

Surgical site infection (SSI) is the main complication of surgery. The prevention of superficial SSI by topical prophylaxis is controversial. Human studies on wound lavage with topical solutions (saline, antiseptics or antibiotics) are old and do not yield conclusive results. In experimental conditions there is evidence in favor of the efficiency wound lavage with saline and antibiotic solutions. Clinical studies are needed to demonstrate the safety and efficacy of antibiotic lavage. Objective. Study of the efficacy of topical antibiotic therapy in the prevention of SSI in patients undergoing incisional hernia repair after abdominal surgery. Method. Randomized double-blind clinical trial comparing two groups of topical prophylaxis. Follow-up will be 90 days after operation. Data will be collected anonymously and the relationships between the variables will be analyzed using Pearson's chi-square, survival analysis and analysis of risk factors as appropriate. The effect of topical antibiotic on hospital stay, resistance patterns in SSI, and antibiotic serum levels will be analyzed.

NCT ID: NCT05507437 Completed - Clinical trials for Acute Kidney Injury Due to Sepsis

Pharmacokinetics and Safety of TIN816 in Patients With Sepsis-associated Acute Kidney Injury

Start date: November 22, 2022
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to characterize the pharmacokinetic (PK) and pharmacodynamic (PD) profile and to evaluate the safety and tolerability of TIN816 in hospitalized adult participants in an intensive care setting with a diagnosis of sepsis-associated acute kidney injury (SA-AKI).

NCT ID: NCT05506436 Completed - Healthy Lifestyle Clinical Trials

Evaluation of an Implementation Strategy of mHealth Intervention to Promote Healthy Lifestyles (E-VIDAPP Pilot Study)

E-VIDAPP
Start date: April 1, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The translation of beneficial interventions for the population into professional practice represents a constant challenge. Moreover, implementation of this evidence into clinical practice has been limited to date. Therefore, the aim of this pilot study is to identify the critical factors and barriers that may influence the implementation of a digital intervention for the promotion of exercise and a healthy diet in primary care and its implementation through a pilot study with a strategy agreed with nursing professionals in a health centre.

NCT ID: NCT05506280 Completed - Breastfeeding Clinical Trials

Association Between Prolactin Levels in Pregnant Women in COVID-19. Gether With Rates of Breastfeeding and the Covid-19 Virus

Start date: April 13, 2022
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Background: Currently in the world, 41% of children under 6 months are exclusively breastfed. The Covid-19 pandemic has had a major impact on breastfeeding.; Methods: A statistical analysis of linear regression, prolactin analysis in the 3rd trimester of pregnancy and 15 days 15 after delivery was performed in women with Covid- 19 infection and healthy, finally the rates of 16 breastfeeding were evaluated. The sample was made up of 680 pregnant women from the Valladolid 17 Health Area, central region of Spain.

NCT ID: NCT05505266 Completed - Menopausal Women Clinical Trials

Physical and Emotional Coping Variables in Climacteric Women

ClimWo
Start date: September 1, 2022
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Introduction: The transition to menopause entails several changes in the biopsychosocial sphere of climacteric women. Compared to other therapies, physical exercise has no side effects, is not costly and can have a positive influence on the symptoms reported by women at this stage. The emotional and physical state of climacteric women is affected by the alterations typical of menopause, deteriorating their quality of life. Likewise, physical exercise improves the associated symptomatology. The objective is to know how the study variables (symptomatology, quality of life, emotional state, physical exercise and level of coping) correlate. Material and methods: Cross-sectional descriptive observational design with a study population made up of women in the climacteric stage carried out through an anonymous and voluntary survey.

NCT ID: NCT05504369 Completed - Low Back Pain Clinical Trials

Effects of Magnetic Tape on the Autonomic Nervous System

Start date: January 1, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The effect of magnetic tape on pain and autonomic nervous system in subject with lower back pain.

NCT ID: NCT05503641 Completed - Clinical trials for Mild Cognitive Impairment

Cognitive and Psychomotor Stimulation in the Physical and Cognitive Function in the Functional Capacity of Older Adults

Start date: September 15, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The population is increasingly older and this means that there are more and more dependent older people, for this reason it is necessary to achieve the best quality of life for the older adult population by promoting active and healthy aging.
