There are about 21071 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Spain. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The administration of low-dose lung irradiation produces anti-inflammatory effects that will decrease the pulmonary inflammatory response. The present study will evaluate the efficacy of treatment with low-dose pulmonary radiotherapy added to standard support therapy, in hospitalized patients with respiratory symptoms due to COVID-19 pneumonia, who do not experience improvement with conventional medical therapy and are not subsidiaries of ICU
To achieve World Health Organization 2030 goals of hepatitis C elimination it is mandatory to document after treatment sustained virological response (SVR). Currently, patients after completing treatment do not show up for SVR assessment. The main objective of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of a telemedicine-based model of care associated with dried blood spot testing at home to assess hepatitis C sustained virological response after treatment compared to the traditional model of care.
This is a prospective study analyzing the development of humoral immune response against SARS-Cov-2 in patients with previous Covid19: the aim is to compare the incidence, titration and evolution of IgG an IgM in a prospective cohort of liver transplant patients surviving to the first wave of Covid19, in comparison to not inmmunossupressed patients.
The purpose of this study is to assemble a multicenter prospective cohort of patients with enterococcal bloodstream infections (BSIs) to provide data on outcomes of patients with enterococcal BSIs for sample size calculations for future trials, as well as to characterize enterococcal isolates causing BSIs in order to comprehensively dissect the molecular epidemiology of infecting organisms for future studies.
Compare core body temperature after laparoscopic surgery using the forced air heating system versus the WARMTAC® (a carbon fiber electric blanket).
Prospective, observational, multicenter study that will evaluate the changes in lung function that patients admitted with SARS-CoV-2 pneumonia will present according to the level of severity at 4, 12, 26 and 52 weeks after hospital discharge.
This study will evaluate the efficacy and safety of glofitamab in combination with gemcitabine plus oxaliplatin (Glofit-GemOx) compared with rituximab in combination with gemcitabine plus oxaliplatin (R-GemOx) in patients with R/R DLBCL.
Study J4B-MC-OKAA is a Phase 1/2, multi-center, open-label ascending dose, first-in-human study that will evaluate the safety and effect of intra-cisternal LY3884963 administration on progranulin protein (PGRN) levels in patients with frontotemporal dementia with progranulin mutations (FTD-GRN). Two escalating dose (low dose and medium dose) cohorts are planned, as well as one bridging cohort which will allocate patients to receive either low or medium dose. The duration of the study is 5 years. During the first year, patients will be evaluated for the effect of LY3884963 on safety, tolerability, immunogenicity, biomarkers, and efficacy. Patients will follow up for an additional 4 years to monitor safety and changes on selected biomarkers and clinical outcomes.
MAIN OBJECTIVE: Description of predicted markers of acute diverticulitis crisis, using bivariate and multivariate analyses. Analysis of acute diverticulitis predictor swings. SIDE OBJECTIVES: Descriptive analysis of HRQL in the different measurement periods to establish the evolution of the disease. Correlate HRQL values of systemic and local inflammatory markers in the diverticulitis group. Sub-analysis of patients with immunosuppression to evaluate disease virulence compared to a group of patients without immunosuppression. STUDY TYPE: Clinical, observational, prospective and multicenter study (8 hospitals) with three study groups: patients diagnosed with acute diverticulitis attending emergencies, diverticulosis patients and patients without diverticulums. INCLUSION CRITERIA: Age > 18years and radiological diagnosis by abdominal CT acute diverticulitis. EXCLUSION CRITERIA: Rejection of the patient -severe diverticulitis requiring urgent surgery -an inability to understand HRQL questionnaire - IBD - pregnancy or breastfeeding - acute diverticulitis within the prior year of the study - Roma IV criteria fulfilment. VARIABLES: Main variables: local and systemic inflammatory markers- faecal calprotectin. Secondary variables: recurrence of acute diverticulitis -the persistence of symptoms - SF 12 and GIQLI questionnaires. STATISTICS: Sample size: alpha error 0.05; beta error 0.20; bilateral; proportion 0.9 in the control group; 500 subjects group diverticulitis, 200 group diverticulosis and not diverticulums.
Restrictions on upper cervical spine are associated with cervical pain. The vast majority of upper cervical spine rotation occurs at the C1-2 segment. Flexion-rotation test is a valid measure that predominantly measures rotation in C1-2 segment, however upper cervical spine rotation also implies C0-1 and C2-3 due to ligament anatomy. Restriction in flexion-rotation may be due to direct restriction in C1-2, but also to a premature tightening of the alar ligament as a result of lack of movement in C0-1 or C2-3. The objective is to compare the effect of a 20-minutes single cervical exercise session with or without manual therapy of C0-1 and C2-3 segment in flexion-rotation test in patients with chronic neck pain and positive flexion-rotation test. To carry out the objective, the following will be designed a randomized controlled assessor-blind clinical trial with primary healthcare patients. This population will be patients with chronic neck pain and positive flexion-rotation test. These patients will be assigned in manual therapy + exercise group or in exercise group. Exercise will be focused on deep anterior cervical muscles. Manual therapy will combine techniques in C0-1 and C2-3 with this exercise. Flexion-rotation test, neck pain intensity, pain intensity during the flexion-rotation test and cervical range of motion will be measured before and after the intervention.
