There are about 21071 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Spain. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The primary objective of the study is to rule out an increase of >3mmHg in 24-hour average Systolic Blood Pressure at steady state (Week 4) compared to baseline. ABPM was chosen for the blood pressure assessment in this trial as recommended by the FDA for drugs intended for chronic use (Assessment of Pressor Effects of Drugs Guidance for Industry (FDA 2022)).
The main aim of this study is to evaluate the clinical efficacy of the OITcontrol application in patients undergoing OIT of eggs or milk used during the follow-up of this treatment.
The supraspinatus muscle tendinopathy show a big impact, however, there is a lack of awareness about the options of the physiotherapist treatment. It is necessary to do studies about effectiveness of therapeutic percutaneous electrolysis and neuromodulation. This technique enables treatment of the tendinopathies. To analyze the effectiveness of therapeutic percutaneou electrolysis and neuromodulation in the treatment of supraspinatus muscle tendinopathy. Single center randomized controlled trial, parallel treatment design. A specialist physician will be diagnosed the supraspinatus muscle tendinopathy. Participants will be randomly assigned to receive treatmen for 4 weeks: percutaneou electrolysis and neuromodulation associated with eccentric exercises or conventional treatment of Physiotherapy with the same eccentric exercises. Both interventions were performed under ultrasound guidance with a portable ultrasound (General Electric LogicE). Data will be collected by a blinded evaluator.
It is known that nociceptive afferences in visceral pain and visceral disorders increase sensitization in subjects suffering from fibromyalgia. These patients use to present visceral comorbidities. Those comorbidities include that of peridiaphragmatic organs, which are supplied by the phrenic nerve among other innervations. It is known that peridiaphragmatic organs trigger referred pain in the neck area, via the phrenic nerves. So, the phrenic nociceptive afferences can be contributing to enhance the state of sensitization in fibromyalgia. This study aims to analyze the ability of phrenic nerve infiltration to diminish sensitization in subjects suffering fibromyalgia, by means of a randomized controlled trial.
Cataract surgery is one of the most frequent surgeries carried out in the world. After cataract extraction an intraocular lens (IOL) is implanted in order to compensate for the crystalline lens power and correct patient's vision. In order to allow cataract extraction and IOL insertion, during the surgery a small incision is performed by the surgeon. This incision is performed using surgical knives, and a smaller incisión is associated with less postoperatory inflammation, faster corneal wound healing, and faster visual recovery. Several studies reported the importance of smaller incisions to reduce the risk of surgically induced astigmatism. In order to implant the IOL through this small incision, the IOL must be preloaded in a injector that allows introducing the IOL eficiently and consistently. The manual injector BIOLI manufactured by AST Products (model D), CE approved, is designed specifically to allow the IOL insertion safely, precisely, and controllably. Among the main characteristics of this delivery system is its design to minimize the incision size widening while inserting the IOL. The present retrospective study aims to provide more information with regards to the clinical efficacy of the BIOLI-D delivery system for the implantation of the trifocal Asqelio TFLIO130C IOL in patients submitted to cataract surgery. This will be assessed by analyzing the change in incision size after IOL implantation and the incidence of adverse events during and after the procedure.
The goal of this study is to design, adapt and implement a strategies and a teaching intervention programme to improve the adolescents physical activity in a little city of Spain, in an educational context. Students will be divided in two groups (control and intervention) and we will apply in the intervention in one group and we will develop different strategies aimed at improve the active lifestyles in the adolescents. Researchers will compare both groups taking in to account: levels of physical activity, sedentary time, healthy diet, self-concept or different psychosocial outcomes
The aim of this study is to describe the use of cefiderocol in the management of Gram-negative infections (GNIs) in participants treated through the Early Access Program (EAP) in Spain.
This study looks at the safety and effectiveness of MP0420 in treating COVID-19 in people who have been hospitalized with the infection. Participants in the study will be treated with either MP0420 plus current standard of care (SOC), or with placebo plus current SOC. This is ACTIV-3/TICO Treatment Trial H5.
This study looks at the safety and effectiveness of BRII-196/BRII-198 in treating COVID-19 in people who have been hospitalized with the infection. Participants in the study will be treated with either BRII-196/BRII-198 plus current standard of care (SOC), or with placebo plus current SOC. This is ACTIV-3/TICO Treatment Trial H3.
