NCT ID: NCT00854646 Completed - Clinical trials for Myelodysplastic Syndromes

Phase I Study of ON 01910.Na in Refractory Leukemia or Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS)

Start date: October 2008
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

This is an open-label, Phase I study to determine the highest amount of the study drug, ON 01910.Na, that can be safety given to patients with high risk myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) or refractory leukemias. Patients will receive ON 01910.Na (at a starting dose of 650 mg/m2) intravenously by 3-day continuous infusion once every 2 weeks. Successive courses will use longer infusion times and/or higher doses of the drug until toxicity, effectiveness, or ineffectiveness is recognized. In addition, the amount of drug in the blood will be measured, any antitumor activity will be documented, and the biological effect of ON 01910.Na on cell-cycle pathways will be evaluated in peripheral blood mononuclear cells.

NCT ID: NCT00850057 Completed - Clinical trials for Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia

Pharmacodynamic (PD) Study of Intranodal Adenovirus-CD154 (Ad-ISF35) in Patients With Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia/Small Lymphocytic Lymphoma (CLL/SLL)

Start date: February 2006
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

Primary Objectives - To determine the safety and maximum tolerated dose (MTD) of Adenovirus-CD154 (Ad-ISF35) when it is injected directly into the lymph nodes of patients with CLL or SLL. Secondary Objectives - To determine and monitor clinical and biological responses in patients treated with injections of Ad-ISF35. - To determine how ISF35 works in CLL/SLL patients' cells.

NCT ID: NCT00849524 Terminated - Clinical trials for Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia

Study of Repeat Intranodal Injection of Memgen's Cancer Vaccine, Ad-ISF35, in Subjects With Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia/Small Lymphocytic Lymphoma (CLL/SLL)

Start date: January 2009
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This is a Phase II, open label, fixed dose, repeat injection, single institution study. Eligible subjects will receive up to six doses of Ad-ISF35 injected directly into a selected lymph node under ultrasound guidance. The primary goal is to determine and monitor clinical and biological responses in patients treated with repeat intranodal injections of Ad-ISF35.

NCT ID: NCT00836043 Terminated - Clinical trials for Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia

Safety, Effectiveness and Patient Acceptance of the Treatment With MabCampath in Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia

Start date: October 2008
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

This study will collect data on safety, effectiveness and patient acceptance of MabCampath treatment under daily life conditions.

NCT ID: NCT00829647 Withdrawn - Leukemia Clinical Trials

A Study Using Two Oral Chemotherapy Agents for Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia

Start date: January 2009
Phase: Phase 1/Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

Dasatinib and lenalidomide are both prescribed for use in patients with different cancers of the blood. This study is experimental because neither drug has been approved by the Food and Drug Administration for the treatment of chronic lymphocytic leukemia. There are few standard treatments when fludarabine is no longer effective in patients with CLL. Some patients have received additional combination therapy with fludarabine, Campath, bone marrow transplants or supportive care. Dasatinib and lenalidomide have been effective in high-risk CLL patients in other pilot mono therapy studies. The combination of dasatinib and lenalidomide has not been studied in humans before and this study is designed to test whether this combination is safe to use.

NCT ID: NCT00828282 Completed - Clinical trials for Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia

High-dose HMG-CoA Inhibitor Simvastatin Relapsed CLL

Start date: March 2009
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

The primary aim of this trial is to generate a preliminary analysis of this novel therapeutic approach and laboratory studies for patients with recurrent or refractory CLL. Further, this pilot trial will demonstrate the feasibility of the translational science methods proposed for this new collaboration of investigators. The investigators hypothesize that patients with relapsed CLL are recruitable to this study, that the methods for measuring simvastatin concentration and target protein translation are feasible, and that the investigators can efficiently apply the laboratory research methods to patient blood samples before and after patients have taken the study medication.

NCT ID: NCT00810680 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia

Study of Efficacy and Safety of Valproic Acid in Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL)

Start date: September 2008
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to determine whether Valproic acid, as a single agent is effective in the treatment of Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia which has relapsed or is refractory to therapy with standard drugs.

NCT ID: NCT00807677 Completed - Multiple Myeloma Clinical Trials

A Phase 1 Dose Escalation Study of TAK-901 in Subjects With Advanced Hematologic Malignancies

Start date: March 2009
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to determine the maximum tolerated dose (MTD) of TAK-901 in subjects with advanced hematological malignancies, and to further assess the safety and tolerability of TAK-901 at or below the MTD in an expanded cohort of subjects in order to select a dose for future studies.

NCT ID: NCT00801060 Terminated - Clinical trials for Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia

Evaluation of Safety and Efficacy of Fludarabine, Cyclophosphamide, and Rituximab (FCR) +/- Lumiliximab in Subjects With Previously Untreated Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL)

Start date: February 2008
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This is a Phase 2, randomized, open-label, multicenter study in subjects with previously untreated CLL. It is designed to evaluate safety and efficacy of fludarabine, cyclophosphamide, rituximab (FCR) and lumiliximab versus FCR alone.

NCT ID: NCT00800566 Withdrawn - Leukemia Clinical Trials

Oral Clofarabine in Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL)

Start date: November 2008
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

The goal of this clinical research study is to find the highest tolerable dose of clofarabine when given to patients with CLL. The safety of this drug will also be studied.
