NCT ID: NCT02403206 Completed - Clinical trials for Intumescent Cataract

Femtosecond Laser Assisted Cataract Surgery in Intumescent Cataracts

Start date: March 26, 2015
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of the study is to compare femtosecond laser-assisted capsulotomy to manual capsulorhexis in patients with intumescent cataracts. An intumescent cataract is defined as a cataract with a pressurized capsular bag.

NCT ID: NCT02396719 Completed - Cataracts Clinical Trials

A Real-World Registry to Investigate the Performance of LenSx® Laser in Chinese Patients

Start date: March 2015
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

The purpose of this study is to investigate the performance of LenSx® Laser in femtosecond laser-assisted cataract surgery (FLACS) in real-world medical practice in Chinese patients.

NCT ID: NCT02394379 Completed - Cataract Clinical Trials

Post Approval Study to Evaluate the Trulign™ Toric Posterior Chamber IOL

Start date: March 19, 2015
Phase:
Study type: Observational

To evaluate the incidence of IOL vaulting (ie, position change) of the Trulign™ Toric IOL following cataract surgery.

NCT ID: NCT02393313 Not yet recruiting - Cataract Clinical Trials

Rayner Toric IOL Rotational Stability

Rayner-toric
Start date: April 2015
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study evaluates the Rayner T-flex Toric IOLs for spherical and astigmatic correction, and rotational stability in cataract surgery. 50 patients with cataract and corneal astigmatism >= 2 diopters will undergo cataract surgery, with implantation of Rayner toric intraocular lens. Post-operative examination will include IOL axis measurements and refraction.

NCT ID: NCT02390245 Completed - Cataract Clinical Trials

Philadelphia Telemedicine Glaucoma Detection and Follow-Up Study

Start date: September 2014
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The goal is to conduct a 5-year prospective, randomized controlled trial to test an innovative, community-based intervention using posterior and anterior fundus photography of the optic nerve and macula and intraocular eye pressure measurements to improve access and utilization of eye care to detect, treat, and manage high-risk patients with previously undiagnosed glaucoma and other eye diseases. Research shows that subject failure to attend follow-up eye care appointments diminishes any previous benefits of community screenings for glaucoma. Greater adherence to follow-up visits can reduce glaucomatous blindness.

NCT ID: NCT02378636 Withdrawn - Cataract Clinical Trials

Clinical Investigation of the Modified Rayner Monofocal Aspheric 600C (With Axis Marks) Intraocular Lens

Start date: June 2015
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This will be a prospective, open-label, 125 subject (maximum), two-year multicentre investigation to assess the safety, effectiveness and rotational stability of the modified 600C (axis marks) intraocular lens (IOL) in subjects undergoing cataract extraction.

NCT ID: NCT02363530 Recruiting - Cataract Clinical Trials

Corneal Protect Used During Cataract Surgery

CPUDCS
Start date: November 2014
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This randomized controlled subject- and examiner-masked study comprised patients scheduled for cataract surgery. The patients will be randomly assigned to receive either balanced salt solution(BSS)or hydroxypropyl methylcellulose(HPMC)2% gel (Cornea Protect). Each subject should undertake examination including - rupture time (TBUT), height of the river of tears, fluorescence staining, Schirmer Ⅰ test, ocular surface disease index (OSDI) and self-conscious symptom assessment questionnaire for assessment.

NCT ID: NCT02362334 Recruiting - Cataract Clinical Trials

IOL Power Calculation Using Dual Schiempflug Analyzer

Start date: October 2014
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

This study evaluates the various ocular parameters which are necessary for ocular biometry and the calculated IOL powers using both dual Schiempflug analyzer and optical low-coherence refelctometry.

NCT ID: NCT02351271 Completed - Cataract Clinical Trials

Cataract Surgery: Femto LDV Z8 Versus Conventional

COMFORT
Start date: February 2015
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The aim of the study is to demonstrate the performance and safety of the Femtosecond laser-assisted anterior capsulotomy and lens fragmentation on human eyes using the FEMTO LDV Z8 compared to conventional technique in cataract surgery.

NCT ID: NCT02338882 Completed - Cataract Clinical Trials

Clinical Investigation of the Bi Flex M Multifocal IOL

Start date: September 2015
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

During cataract surgery an artificial lens is implanted in the eye. These artificial lenses are called intraocular lenses (IOLs) and there are many different types of IOL designs. IOLs are of fixed focus and so unless a multifocal IOL is used you would need to wear spectacles for viewing near objects. This study has been designed to look at how well a multifocal IOL corrects distance and near vision in comparison with a conventional monofocal IOL. Both types of IOLs are commercially available and are commonly implanted. Using new non-invasive methods we hope to be able to better judge the visual performance of these IOLs. In addition the study will involve imaging and examining the IOLs to determine the prevalence of any post-operative complications.
