NCT ID: NCT00003520 Terminated - Clinical trials for Stage IV Kidney Cancer

Antineoplaston Therapy in Treating Patients With Stage IV Kidney Cancer

Start date: March 27, 1996
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

Current therapies for Stage IV Kidney Cancer provide very limited benefit to the patient. The anti-cancer properties of Antineoplaston therapy suggest that it may prove beneficial in the treatment of Stage IV Kidney Cancer. PURPOSE: This study is being performed to determine the effects (good and bad) that Antineoplaston therapy has on patients with Stage IV Kidney Cancer.

NCT ID: NCT00003390 Completed - Kidney Cancer Clinical Trials

6-Hydroxymethylacylfulvene in Treating Patients With Metastatic Kidney Cancer

Start date: June 1998
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. PURPOSE: Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of 6-hydroxymethylacylfulvene in treating patients with metastatic kidney cancer.

NCT ID: NCT00003308 Completed - Ovarian Cancer Clinical Trials

Radiation Therapy in Treating Patients With Newly Diagnosed Brain Metastases From Kidney Cancer, Melanoma, or Sarcoma

Start date: February 2, 1999
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

RATIONALE: Radiation therapy uses high-energy x-rays to damage tumor cells. PURPOSE: Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of radiation therapy in treating patients with newly diagnosed brain metastases from kidney cancer, melanoma, or sarcoma.

NCT ID: NCT00003181 Active, not recruiting - Kidney Cancer Clinical Trials

Interleukin-2, Vinblastine, and GM-CSF in Treating Patients With Metastatic Kidney Cancer

Start date: May 1997
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Interleukin-2 may stimulate a person's white blood cells to kill cancer cells. Combining chemotherapy with interleukin-2 and GM-CSF may be a more effective treatment for kidney cancer. PURPOSE: Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of low-dose interleukin-2, vinblastine, and GM-CSF in treating patients with metastatic kidney cancer.

NCT ID: NCT00003126 Completed - Kidney Cancer Clinical Trials

Interleukin-2 in Treating Patients With Stage III or Stage IV Kidney Cancer

Start date: June 1997
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to assess the efficacy of post-operative high-dose bolus interleukin-2 (IL-2) in patients with high-risk renal cell carcinoma (RCC).

NCT ID: NCT00003102 Completed - Kidney Cancer Clinical Trials

Monoclonal Antibody Therapy in Treating Patients With Advanced Kidney Cancer

Start date: November 17, 1998
Phase: Phase 1/Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

RATIONALE: Monoclonal antibodies can locate tumor cells and either kill them or deliver tumor-killing substances to them without harming normal cells. PURPOSE: Phase I/II trial to study the effectiveness of monoclonal antibody therapy in treating patients with advanced kidney cancer.

NCT ID: NCT00003091 Completed - Kidney Cancer Clinical Trials

High-Dose Interferon Alfa and Interleukin-2 in Treating Patients With Metastatic Kidney Cancer or Melanoma

Start date: January 1996
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

RATIONALE: Interferon alfa may interfere with the growth of cancer cells. Interleukin-2 may stimulate a person's white blood cells to kill kidney cancer or melanoma cells. PURPOSE: Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of high-dose interferon alfa and interleukin-2 in treating patients with metastatic kidney cancer or melanoma.

NCT ID: NCT00002847 Active, not recruiting - Kidney Cancer Clinical Trials

Interferon Alfa and Interleukin-2 in Treating Patients With Metastatic Kidney Cancer

Start date: September 1995
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

RATIONALE: Biological therapies use different ways to stimulate the immune system to try to stop cancer cells from growing. Combining interferon alfa and interleukin-2 may kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of interferon alfa and interleukin-2 in treating patients with metastatic kidney cancer.

NCT ID: NCT00002846 Active, not recruiting - Kidney Cancer Clinical Trials

Interleukin-2 in Treating Patients With Metastatic or Recurrent Kidney Cancer

Start date: September 1995
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

RATIONALE: Interleukin-2 may stimulate a person's white blood cells to kill kidney cancer cells. PURPOSE: Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of low-dose interleukin-2 in treating patients with metastatic or recurrent kidney cancer.

NCT ID: NCT00002737 Completed - Kidney Cancer Clinical Trials

Interferon Alfa With or Without Isotretinoin in Treating Patients With Metastatic Kidney Cancer

Start date: March 1996
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

RATIONALE: Interferon alfa may interfere with the growth of the cancer cells and slow the growth of kidney cancer. Isotretinoin may help kidney cancer cells develop into normal cells. It is not yet known whether interferon alfa plus isotretinoin is more effective than interferon alfa alone for kidney cancer. PURPOSE: Randomized phase III trial to compare the effectiveness of interferon alfa with or without isotretinoin in treating patients who have metastatic kidney cancer.
