Filter by:This multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study will evaluate the safety and efficacy of onartuzumab in combination with erlotinib in patients with previously untreated, unresectable stage IIIB or IV non-small cell lung cancer identified to carry and activating EGFR mutation and MET-positive. Patients will be randomized to receive either onartuzumab 15 mg/kg intravenously every 3 weeks in combination with erlotinib 150 mg orally daily or placebo in combination with erlotinib. Anticipated time on study treatment is until disease progression or unacceptable toxicity occurs.

This is a randomized, interventional trial in which the navigation is the intervention. Phase is not applicable. The study is a randomized trial to evaluate the impact of a nurse-led patient navigation intervention in improving rates of receipt of lung-directed therapy with curative intent (LDTCI) among African Americans with early stage lung cancer. Study sites are cluster-randomized to either the usual care study arm or the to the navigation intervention study arm. Randomization occurred at the level of the study site rather than at the level of individual participants. There are two arms.
This is a phase I, open-label, multicentre study of AZD8186 administered orally in patients with advanced castrate-resistant prostate cancer (CRPC), squamous non-small cell lung cancer (sqNSCLC), triple negative breast cancer (TNBC) and known PTEN-deficient/mutated or PIK3CB mutated/amplified advanced solid malignancies as monotherapy and in combination with abiraterone acetate or AZD2014.
The aim of this study is to evaluate the effect of twelve weeks of a physical and psycho-social program consisting of: supervised, structured exercise training in a group of advanced lung cancer patients (cardio and strength training, relaxation training) twice weekly. Primary outcome is (VO2peak). The hypotheses are that patients who undergo this intervention will increase maximal oxygen uptake (VO2peak), strength (1RM), functional capacity (6MWD) and quality of life (HRQOL) and reduce the level of anxiety and depression compared to those who do not.

This non-randomized, open-label, multicenter study will evaluate the safety and efficacy of alectinib in participants with ALK-rearranged non-small cell lung cancer who failed crizotinib treatment. In Phase I, cohorts of participants will receive escalating doses of alectinib orally twice daily. In Phase II, patients who failed crizotinib treatment will receive the recommended phase II dose.
This phase II trial studies how well cabozantinib-s-malate and erlotinib hydrochloride works in treating patients with previously treated metastatic non-small cell lung cancer. Cabozantinib-s-malate and erlotinib hydrochloride may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Cabozantinib-s-malate may also stop the growth of non-small cell lung cancer by blocking blood flow to the tumor. Giving cabozantinib-s-malate together with erlotinib hydrochloride may be an effective treatment for non-small cell lung cancer.
The purpose of this study is to determine whether metformin in combination with gefitinib are effective in patients with previously untreated advanced or metastatic Non-Small-Cell Lung cancer with epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) mutations
As part of the long-term goal of successfully implementing tissue regeneration strategies in an individualized manner for patients with thoracic diseases including, but not limited to: cystic fibrosis, pulmonary fibrosis and pulmonary hypertension, the investigators will assess the feasibility of collecting skin biopsies from patients undergoing surgery for thoracic disease, culturing skin fibroblasts from the biopsy, and reprogramming these skin fibroblasts into induced pluripotent cells.
