NCT ID: NCT04976452 Completed - Clinical trials for Blood Pressure Measurement

Identifying Learning Strategies to Improve Blood Pressure Measurement in Physical Therapy Education Programs

Start date: September 2, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to determine an effective teaching strategy for Physical Therapy students in a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program that will produce consistent and accurate measuring of patient BP readings in the healthcare clinic according to the guidelines established by the AHA.

NCT ID: NCT04510753 Completed - Clinical trials for Blood Pressure Measurement

Data Collection of Arterial Line Waveform and BP Values

Start date: November 22, 2019
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Collect continuous systolic and diastolic blood pressure values and waveforms as recorded by an arterial line catheter and by non-invasive blood pressure (NIBP) and to collect Photoplethysmogram Pulse Oximetry (PPG) waveform in order to optimize the Sensifree algorithm.

NCT ID: NCT04456179 Completed - Clinical trials for Blood Pressure Measurement

Continuous Non-Invasive Blood Pressure System Data Collection in Comparison to Invasive Radial Arterial Pressure

Start date: February 3, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to evaluate methods to modify blood pressure in humans and measure the effectiveness of such methods. A secondary outcome is to evaluate the performance of an investigational continuous non-invasive blood pressure (cNIBP) device created by Sensifree. The tests will per performed in non-hospitalized subjects under varied controlled conditions that include resting blood pressure and non-pharmacologically induced blood pressure changes.

NCT ID: NCT04132453 Completed - Clinical trials for Blood Pressure Measurement

Continuous Blood Pressure and Waveform Measurements Comparison Between Invasive Arterial Line and PPG Sensor

Start date: June 19, 2018
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The purpose of this study is to compare blood pressure values (systolic, diastolic, mean arterial pressure) and waveform as recorded by a radial arterial line catheter to the waveform and values as calculated by the Sensifree's algorithm from a PPG sensor from a variety group of patients during elective surgeries.

NCT ID: NCT04100668 Completed - Clinical trials for Blood Pressure Measurement

Evaluation of Sensifree's Alpha Sensor Signal Morphology Compared to Arterial Line and PPG Signal Morphologies

Start date: September 26, 2017
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of the protocol is to compare Sensifree Alpha sensor signal morphology, measured at the radial artery, to an invasive arterial line pressure signal and the oxygen saturation as read by a pulse oximeter. The study will be split into two phases: the first phase will collect data for morphology analysis and algorithm development, the second phase will compare device performance to the reference invasive blood pressures. A secondary objective is to evaluate signal morphology changes due to changes in subject arm position.

NCT ID: NCT02447471 Completed - Clinical trials for Blood Pressure Measurement

Agreement of the Nexfin™ Monitor With Non-invasive Blood Pressure Measurement

Nexfin Pilot
Start date: May 2015
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

Currently, BP is measured using an inflatable cuff wrapped around the patient's upper arm. This can be set to inflate every minute, but measurement may fail due to patient movement or shivering. Failed measurement occurs in up to 38% of patients. This study aims to determine how the Nexfin device - which measures BP using a cuff wrapped around a finger - compares to standard BP measurement.
