NCT ID: NCT01264614 Completed - Dementia Clinical Trials

Effects of Strengthening Exercise on the Brain for Early Dementia and Normative Older Adults

Start date: December 2010
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study will evaluate the effects of low-intensity strengthening exercise on the brain (thinking and processing speed) for patients with early dementia, compared with normative older adults. Participants will engage in 3 months of exercise 3-5 times per week using a chair and small weights. It is hypothesized that there will be a significant improvement in brain function.

NCT ID: NCT01258452 Completed - Alzheimer's Disease Clinical Trials

Study to Evaluate the Effects of Food Ingestion on the Pharmacokinetics of CHF 5074 in Healthy Young Male Subjects

CT03
Start date: February 2011
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

To evaluate the effects of a high-calorie high-fat meal on the extent and rate of absorption of CHF 5074 after single oral administration in young healthy male volunteers.

NCT ID: NCT01254773 Completed - Alzheimer's Disease Clinical Trials

Amyloid Imaging And Safety Study Of Subcutaneous Bapineuzumab In Subjects With Mild to Moderate Alzheimer's Disease

SUMMIT AD
Start date: December 2010
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This study in individuals with mild to moderate Alzheimer's Disease is designed to assess:(1) safety and tolerability (2) the capacity of subcutaneous bapineuzumab to reduce brain amyloid load as measured by positron emission tomography (PET) scans.

NCT ID: NCT01254448 Completed - Alzheimer's Disease Clinical Trials

Multiple Ascending Dose Study of TC-5619 in Healthy Elderly Subjects and Subjects With Alzheimer's Disease

Start date: September 2010
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

This is a Phase 1 study to examine the safety, tolerability and pharmacokinetics of TC-5619 in elderly subjects with and without Alzheimer's disease. Group 1 includes elderly subjects with Alzheimer's disease to receive TC-5619 or placebo for 28 days to evaluate safety and tolerability. Group 2 includes healthy elderly subjects in a dose escalation design to receive TC-5619 or placebo for 10 days to evaluate safety, tolerability and pharmacokinetics.

NCT ID: NCT01253499 Completed - Alzheimer's Disease Clinical Trials

Multiple Dose Study of TRx0037

Start date: March 2010
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety, tolerability and pharmacokinetics of TRx0037 after multiple doses in elderly volunteers.

NCT ID: NCT01253122 Completed - Alzheimer's Disease Clinical Trials

Comparative Bioavailability in Healthy Elderly Volunteers

Start date: February 2010
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

A randomised four way crossover design in which each subject will receive two dose levels of TRx-0037 and two doses of TRx-0014 over approximately a four week period in randomised order.

NCT ID: NCT01251718 Completed - Alzheimer's Disease Clinical Trials

Post-marketing Surveillance of Donepezil Hydrochloride -Investigation of the Clinical Safety and Effectiveness in Patients With Alzheimer's Disease

Start date: December 1, 2010
Phase:
Study type: Observational

To investigate the clinical safety and effectiveness of donepezil hydrochloride administration in patients with mild or moderate Alzheimer's Disease

NCT ID: NCT01249196 Completed - Alzheimer's Disease Clinical Trials

A Confirmatory Trial of SK-PC-B70M in Mild to Moderate Alzheimer's Disease

Start date: May 2010
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of SK-PC-B70M in patients with mild to moderate Alzheimer's disease.

NCT ID: NCT01245530 Completed - Clinical trials for Alzheimer Type Dementia

An Efficacy and Safety Study of INM-176 for the Treatment of Patients With Alzheimer Type Dementia

Start date: June 2008
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of two fixed dose (1200mg/day, 1600mg/day) of INM-176 (a drug of treating dementia) comparing with donepezil for treatment for patients with Alzheimer type dementia.

NCT ID: NCT01231971 Completed - Clinical trials for Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI)

Alzheimer's Disease Neuroimaging Initiative 2

ADNI2
Start date: February 14, 2011
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The purpose of this study is to build upon the information obtained in the original Alzheimer's Disease Neuroimaging Initiative (ADNI1) and ADNI-GO (Grand Opportunity; a study funded through an NIH grant under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act), to examine how brain imaging technology can be used with other tests to measure the progression of mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and early Alzheimer's disease (AD). ADNI2 seeks to inform the neuroscience of AD. This information will aid in the early detection of AD, and in measuring the effectiveness of treatments in future clinical trials.
