Filter by:This is a non-randomized, phase II, open label study of anlotinib hydrochloride capsules in recurrent/metastatic adenocarcinomas of head and neck. The primary purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of anlotinib.
Rationale: Advanced non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients harboring epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) mutations (del19 or L858R) show an impressive progression-free survival between 9 and 11 months when treated with gefitinib. Combination of gefitinib and berberine could improve efficacy in lung cancer with EGFR mutation in vivo and vitro. The investigators hypothesize that progression-free survival could be improved by combination of gefitinib and berberine.
This study aims to evaluate the safety and efficacy of new ablation catheter developed by MEDICAL TAEWOONG for the treatment of pancreatic neoplasm (pancreatic adenocarcinoma or neuroendocrine tumour). The ablation is performed using EUSRA needle and radio frequency waves under ultrasound imaging. The subject who will be recruited into this study are patients who are deemed as non-surgical candidates.

The aim of this study is to evaluate the advantage of mesenteric approach during pancreaticoduodenectomy (PD) for pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC). The design of this study is multicenter randomized clinical trial, comparing oncological and surgical outcomes between mesenteric approach and conventional approach during PD for PDAC.
This phase II clinical trial will enroll patients with newly-diagnosed locally-advanced pancreatic adenocarcinoma and adopt the Simon's two-stage optimum design. After 4 cycles of SIROX regimen, patients will proceed to curative resection.

Over the last 10 years, technological advances in molecular biology enabled a more accurate genomic characterization of tumors. For each tumor location, this led to the identification of subgroups with similar molecular characteristics. This identification allowed the development of targeted therapies and thus to improve the patient prognosis. This molecular characterization has also revealed the tumor heterogeneity. It may be the cause of treatment resistance and therefore of relapses. Additionally, tumor cells are in constant dialogue with their microenvironment composed of different immune or non immune cells. This microenvironment is now targeted in cancer treatment. To date, there are few studies that combine a deep genomic characterization of both tumor and tumor microenvironment of the patient. Combining the two types of studies on the same tumor should help to define new therapeutic targets and should allow a combination of targeted and immunomodulatory therapies. To this end, our project is to conduct an exhaustive integrated exploratory analysis at genomic, transcriptomic and immunological levels of 3 tumor types (in colon, kidney and liver cancer).
Background: Literature often shows limited and discordant data regarding the prognostic value of age in gastric-cancer patients. Generally, disease-specific survival does not seem to be worse in the elderly when compared with younger patients, and therefore gastrectomy with extended lymphadenectomy for non-early tumors is considered the "standard" surgical therapy for all of operable patients, despite any age- or comorbidity-related limitations. Recent trials reported a survival benefit for extended nodal dissection compared with the more limited method, but some Authors found age (and comorbidities) to be a relevant predictor of postoperative complications, conditioning the safety of the surgical procedure itself. Methods/Design: The LELEGA Trial (Limited versus Extended Lymphadenectomy in high risk Elderly with Gastric Adenocarcinoma) is a randomized, clinical multicenter trial. All patients >75 years and with Charlson Comorbidity Score >5 with resectable M0 gastric cancer are eligible for inclusion and randomization. The primary endpoint is 5-year Disease-Specific Survival (DSS). Secondary endpoints include 5-year Overall Survival (OS) and postoperative complications classified according to Clavien-Dindo. Assuming an alpha (two-sided) of 5%, 232 patients per group are necessary to achieve an 80% power to detect a 13% survival difference (from 56% to 69%) between groups. Discussion: LELEGA trial is a prospective, multicenter randomized study to define optimal extent of lymphadenectomy (extended versus limited) in elderly and high-comorbidity gastric cancer patients.
