Intermittent Fasting Using a Fasting-Mimicking Diet to Improve Prostate Cancer Control and Metabolic Outcomes

This is a Phase 2, randomized two-armed, multi-site study of 138 patients with metastatic castrate sensitive prostate adenocarcinoma. Patients will be randomized 1:1 to receive the fasting mimicking diet, or usual diet. All patients will receive standard of care treatment for their prostate cancer. The fasting mimicking diet will be consumed for 5 days per month for a total of 6 months and will be monitored by trained research dietitians. This study aims to examine the effects of a fasting mimicking diet (5 days per month eating L-Nutra products only for 6 months) vs. usual diet on response to cancer treatment of metastatic castrate sensitive prostate adenocarcinoma.

Improving the Intraoperative Diagnosis Accuracy of Invasiveness for Small-sized Lung Adenocarcinoma

The goal of this observational study is to improve the intraoperative diagnosis accuracy of invasiveness for small-sized lung adenocarcinoma by combining multi-modal information. The main question it aims to answer is whether multi-modal information have great value of prediction on the invasiveness for small-sized lung adenocarcinoma. Since a promising limited resection is largely based on intraoperative frozen section diagnosis, there is a growing demand on the high-accuracy of timely pathology diagnosis. The multi-modal information of participants will be collected retrospectively.

The double-flap technique (DFT) is an effective digestive tract reconstruction method after proximal gastrectomy (PG) to reduce the incidence of postoperative reflux esophagitis. But its clinical application is restricted due to the technical complexity. Our surgical team devise a modified esophagogastric reconstructive method which we term the "arch-bridge-type" reconstruction based on the principle of DFT. The aim of this single-arm prospective study is to assess the safety and feasibility of the "arch-bridge-type" reconstruction after PG.

The sequence of Gemcitabine - Abraxane (nab-Paclitaxel) followed by mFOLFIRINOX has not been approved by the FDA for treatment of pancreatic cancer.

The main question it aims to answer is: • The efficacy and safety of S-1 adjuvant therapy, following D2 radical surgery and DS(Docetaxel + S-1) adjuvant chemotherapy. Aldesleukin With Nivolumab and Standard Chemotherapy for Treatment of Gastric Cancer With Peritoneal Metastasis

This phase Ib trial test effects of aldesleukin in combination with nivolumab and standard chemotherapy in treating patients with gastric cancer that has spread to the tissue lining of the abdomen (peritoneal metastasis). Aldesleukin is similar to a protein that naturally exists in the body that stimulates the immune system to fight infections. Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as nivolumab, may help the body's immune system attack the cancer, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Chemotherapy drugs, such as leucovorin calcium, fluorouracil, and oxaliplatin, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Giving aldesleukin in combination with nivolumab and standard chemotherapy may work better in treating patients with gastric cancer with peritoneal metastasis.

Characterisation of the Intratumoral Microbiome in Gastric Adenocarcinoma: to a Personalised Medicine

In this study, gastric tumours and adjacent healthy mucosa will be collected from gastric cancer patients operated on for curative purposes. From this material, presence and characterisation of intratumoral bacteria will be determined. Intratumoral microbiota composition will be compared with healthy adjacent tissue, and the intratumoral microbiota composition will also be compared between different tumor types. The different bacterial signatures that we will characterise may be used as biomarkers.

Safety of RAD301 in Healthy Human Volunteers and Patients With Pancreatic Cancer

The objective of this clinical trial is to determine the safety of an intravenously administered radioisotope, RAD301 ([68Ga]-Trivehexin), in either health volunteers or patients with pancreatic cancer. All subjects will undergo: Screening, which entails physical examination and blood samples for standard blood testing. Subjects that successfully pass screening will undergo: Gallium-68 PET scanning procedures, which will occur during a single day (about 5-6 hours). These subjects will return to the clinic at 2 weeks for additional safety labs. All scanned subjects will also be evaluated by telephone follow up on a weekly basis for 1 month after scanning.
