NCT ID: NCT06265714 Completed - Stroke Clinical Trials

The IndONEsia ICCU Registry: a Multicenter Cohort of Intensive Cardiovascular Care Units Patients in Indonesia

Start date: July 23, 2021
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

Patients in the Intensive Cardiovascular Care Unit (ICCU) often present with cardiovascular disease (CVD) issues accompanied by various non-cardiovascular conditions. However, a widely applicable scoring system to predict patient outcomes in the ICCU is lacking. Therefore, developing and validating scores for predicting ICCU patient outcomes are warranted. The aims of the IndONEsia ICCU (One ICCU) registry include developing an epidemiological registry of ICCU patients and establishing a multicentre research network to analyse patient outcomes. This nationwide multicenter cohort will capture data from patients receiving cardiovascular critical care treatment in 10 Indonesian hospitals with ICCU facilities. Recorded data will encompass demographic characteristics, physical examination findings at hospital and ICCU admission, diagnoses at ICCU admission, therapy, intervention, complications on days 3 and 5 of in-ICCU care, in-hospital outcomes, and 30-day outcomes. The One ICCU is a large, prospective registry describing the care process and advancing clinical knowledge in ICCU patients. It will serve as an investigational platform for predicting the mortality of ICCU patients.

NCT ID: NCT06255145 Completed - Body Composition Clinical Trials

Assessment of Body Composition, Fatigue, Mobility and Functional Status in Post-Stroke Individuals

Start date: December 17, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The goal of this randomized controlled trial is to evaluate body composition, fatigue, mobility level, functional status in with stroke individuals. The main questions it aims to answer are: How is body composition affected in individuals with stroke? How is the level of fatigue affected in individuals with stroke? How is the mobility level affected in individuals with stroke? How is functional status affected in individuals with stroke? In this study, we included 21 patients with stroke and 21 healthy controls. The body composition of the participants was evaluated by Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA), fatigue level by Fatigue Severity Scale (FSS), mobility level by Rivermead Mobility Index (RMI), and functional status by Functional Independence Scale (FIM).

NCT ID: NCT06239948 Completed - Stroke Clinical Trials

The Brain Symphony For Post-Stroke Rehabilitation

Start date: January 1, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Music listening intervention has made great strides in improving the condition of stroke survivors. Thus, this research explores the effects of music listening intervention on post-stroke survivors during rehabilitation by using P. Ramlee songs.

NCT ID: NCT06236828 Completed - Stroke Clinical Trials

The MRI-based Evaluation of Safety and Efficacy of EVT and SMT: A Retrospective, Multicenter Study

Start date: January 31, 2023
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Acute Basilar Artery Occlusion (ABAO), a condition with a high risk of mortality or disability (up to 80%). The safety and efficacy of endovascular thrombectomy (EVT) in ABAO remains uncertain due to inconsistent evidence from random controlled trials (RCTs). Recent studies have explored the use of MRI in ABAO, this study aims to assess the efficacy and safety of EVT and standard medical therapy (SMT) in the treatment of ABAO within 24 hours of onset. It also aims to explore the feasibility and prognostic value of MRI-based assessment of ABAO infarction using AI image analysis software.

NCT ID: NCT06225024 Completed - Stroke Clinical Trials

Efficacy of Extracorporeal Shock Wave Therapy on Spasticity

Start date: March 15, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Introduction: We aimed to compare the efficacy of Botulinum Toxin Type A(BoNT-A) injection and BoNT-A injection in combination with ESWT for post-stroke lower extremity ankle plantar flexor spasticity. Materials and Method: Patients with post-stroke ankle plantar flexor spasticity of 1 or more on the modified Ashworth Scale(MAS) were randomized into two groups. Group 1(n:20): BoNT-A was injected into the gastrocnemius muscle and conventional physical therapy exercises were performed. Group 2(n:20): ESWT was applied to the gastrocnemius muscle in addition to the treatments in group 1.

NCT ID: NCT06221826 Completed - Clinical trials for Ischemic Stroke, Acute

MEXIDOL® in the Rehabilitation Treatment of Patients With Acute Cerebral Failure

Start date: April 17, 2023
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

The use of metabolic modulators creates prospects for increasing the efficiency of the rehabilitation treatment of patients with acute cerebral failure

NCT ID: NCT06213597 Completed - Stroke Clinical Trials

Effects of Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation on Patients With Dysphagia in Stroke Observed Based on Functional Near-infrared Spectroscopic

Start date: May 28, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This trial was a randomized, double-blind, sham-controlled trial.Thirty patients with post-stroke dysphagia were randomly assigned to the repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation(rTMS) group (n=15) or sham rTMS group (n=15). Both groups received conventional swallowing rehabilitation, and in addition, the rTMS group received 5hz repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation on the healthy side. Swallowing function was assessed at admission and after two weeks of treatment using the the Standardized Swallowing Assessment (SSA), the Penetration-Aspiration Scale (PAS), the Fiberoptic Endoscopic Dysphagia Severity Scale(FEDSS), the Functional Oral Intake Scale (FOIS), and the functional near-infrared spectroscopic(fNIRS).

NCT ID: NCT06208969 Completed - Malnutrition Clinical Trials

The Effect of Nutrition Counseling on Nutritional Status in Stroke Patients

Start date: March 7, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of intensive nutrition counseling on nutritional status and functional recovery in stroke patients over the age of 65, compared to standard nutrition counseling.

NCT ID: NCT06208059 Completed - Movement Disorders Clinical Trials

Electroacupuncture of Scalp Motor Area to Improve Post-Stroke Wrist Dyskinesia

Start date: July 1, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The goal of this clinical trial is to compare the clinical efficacy of electroacupuncture and manual acupuncture in stimulating the scalp motor area for treating post-stroke wrist dyskinesia and its influence on the function of wrist movement-related active muscles. The main question it aims to answer is: which method of stimulating the scalp motor area is more effective in the recovery of wrist motor function after stroke? Participants will be given routine Western medicine treatment and acupuncture treatment on the hemiplegic side. In the manual acupuncture group, participants will be needled in the scalp motor area on the lesion side. The same acupoint was selected as the manual acupuncture group in the electroacupuncture group. The score of Chinese Stroke Scale (CSS), the score of the upper limb of the Barthel Index (BI), the active range of motion (AROM) of wrist joint, and the surface electromyography (sEMG) was used to measure the root mean square (RMS) of extensor carpi radialis longus, extensor digitorum, flexor carpi radialis and flexor carpi ulnaris on the hemiplegic side of the patients before and after the 3-week treatment period, respectively compare the clinical efficacy of the two groups.
