Filter by:Due to lacking of evidence on surveillance for gastric cancer (GC), this study aimed to determine the optimal postsurgical surveillance strategy for stage II/III GC patients and compare its cost-effectiveness with traditional surveillance strategies.
Neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NC) is an important treatment for advanced gastric cancer (AGC). However, tools that effectively predict the efficacy of NC before treatment are lacking. Computed tomography images before and after NC were used to construct a deep learning-based radiomics signature to predict the efficacy of NC, prognoses and postoperative adjuvant chemotherapy benefit.
Introduction: The safety and efficiency of OGT-assisted method have not yet been compared with conventional overlap approach. Methods Retrospectively analyses the data of 155 gastric/gastroesophageal junction (G/GEJ) cancer patients who underwent laparoscopic total gastrectomy by conventional(conventional group, n=83) or OGT-assisted (OGT group, n=72) overlap methods at Nanfang Hospital. The anastomotic efficiency and surgical outcomes were compared between two groups.
This is a single blind, case control, multicenter study jointly developed by Zhongshan Hospital of Fudan University, Shanghai Public Health Clinical Center, Shanghai Xuhui Central Hospital, Qingpu Branch of Zhongshan Hospital Affiliated to Fudan University, and Shanghai Singlera Genomics Company. The enrolled population will include positive group, precancerous lesions and healthy control group, which is expected to enroll 2,430 participants. The primary objective is to establish molecular testing methods for non-invasive screening and early diagnosis of digestive system cancers through ctDNA methylation and mutation, cfDNA and ctDNA fragment size, and end motif based model (for esophageal, gastric, colorectal cancer), and through ctDNA methylation detection, ctDNA low-pass WGS, miRNA7 and CTC detection and analysis technology based model (for hepatocellular carcinoma). The sensitivity and specificity of the models in cancer early detection will be evaluated.
To investigate the effect of using Self-arranged Metabolic Equivalent Exercises on cancer-related fatigue in gastric cancer patients. Gastric cancer patients admitted to the oncology department of a tertiary hospital in Shanghai were selected as study subjects and randomly divided into observation group and control group. The experimental group used Metabolic Equivalent Exercises for intervention besides exercise education and implemented records. In the control group, conventional exercise catharsis was performed. The Piper Revised Fatigue Scale (RPFS) and QLQ-30 Quality of Life Scale were used to measure cancer-caused fatigue and quality of life in both groups at the first admission and after 3 months.
Phase Ib part of this study determines the recommended phase II dose schedule based on ASLAN001-004 phase Ib (dose-confirmation study of Varlitinib combined with weekly paclitaxel and carboplatin or trastuzumab (Herceptin) in advanced solid tumours). Phase II part of this study further assesses the safety and clinical efficacy of this combination treatment as a second line treatment in EGFR/HER2 co-expressing advanced or metastatic gastric cancer.
Adding the handgrip strength (HGS) asymmetry to the existing measurements of low HGS may improve the assessment of muscle function.
This was a case control, non-intervention study jointly developed by Fudan University Cancer Hospital and Shanghai Singlera Genomics Company. The enrolled population was screened by gastric surgery, including gastric cancer, precancerous lesions, benign lesions, and healthy control group. 10ml of whole blood of the enrolled subjects was collected for multi-target PCR detection of cfDNA methylation. The objective is to explore the clinical performance of polygene methylation (PCR-fluorescence probe) in the adjunctive diagnosis of gastric cancer, including the sensitivity of detection of various types and stages of gastric cancer, the specificity of detection of healthy controls, precancerous states, precancerous lesions, and the detection interference of other cancers. The diagnostic performance will be compared with CA199, CEA and CA724. The research data will provide a basis for screening targets for the development of detection kits.
To vertify the function of circulating exosomal lncRNA-GC1 on predicting and monitoring immunotherapeutic outcomes of GC
The incidence of complications after gastrectomy remains high among elderly patients with gastric cancer. The investigators sought to establish and validate a web-based nomorgam for predicting total complications among elderly patients undergoing resection of gastric cancer.
