This may contribute to the improvement of the impaired organ function of septic shock patients by assisting the impaired immune system (immune competence enhancement = ARTICE)
The aim of this study is to assess whether changes in the plethysmography variability index, during a tidal volume challenge, can reliably detect simultaneous changes in arterial blood pressure pulsatility, in patients hospitalized in intensive care unit. If results will be positive, this will allow the test to be performed even in the absence of an invasive arterial catheter.
This study aimed to enroll 2000 neonatal patients with suspected sepsis or clinical diagnosed sepsis. These patients will undergo both conventional methods and metagenomics sequencing to detect the pathogenic microorganisms of sepsis. The purpose of this study was to assess the clinical value of metagenomics sequencing for the diagnosis and treatment of neonatal sepsis.
A observational study is conducting at the First Affiliated Hospital of the Medical College of Zhejiang University from January 1, 2022 to January 1, 2024. Patients with severe sepsis and treatment with Ceftazidime-Avibactam will be enrolled. Blood samples at different timepoints: 0 hour, 2 hours, 4 hours, 6 hours, and 8 hours after the first time and the steady state concentration(more than 4 times drug administration) of drug administration will be collected to detect plasma drug concentrations of ceftazidime avibactam.

Medical and socioeconomic data are extracted from the Swedish Intensive Care Registry (SIR), the Swedish National Patient Registry and Statistics Sweden for all adult patients admitted to in Swedish intensive care units between 2014-01-01 and 2020-12-31 with a diagnosis of sepsis and/or acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) and/or coronavirus 19 (COVID-19) infection, and registered in SIR. The impact of demographic and socioeconomic factors on decisions to withhold or withdraw intensive care, and on mortality, are studied and statistically adjusted for level of chronic comorbidity and severity of acute illness.
Sepsis is a life-threatening organ dysfunction caused by the maladjusted response of the host to infection. It is a clinical syndrome with high mortality. Studies have confirmed that many cytokines play a vital role in the pathogenesis of sepsis. Ulinastatin (UTI) is a glycoprotein that exists in human blood and can be isolated and purified from human urine. It is a broad-spectrum protease inhibitor. Previous studies have shown that Ulinastatin may have the effect of treating sepsis. 120 septic patients with systemic inflammatory response syndrome would be recruited and randomly assigned to the ordinary dose group, high dose group and placebo control group according to the ratio of 1:1:1. The trial will be followed up on days 0, 1, 3, 5, 7 and 28. Sofa on day 7 compared with baseline and all-cause mortality on day 28 were investigated to explore the efficacy of ulinastatin in the treatment of adult sepsis patients with systemic inflammatory response syndrome.
