View clinical trials related to Renal Failure.
Filter by:Respiratory failure following extubation causes significant morbidity and increases mortality in teh surgical intensive care unit (SICU). However the causes of respiratory failure following extubation remain poorly understood. The investigators hypothesize that extubation failure can be predicted based on preoperative risk factors as well as ICU acquired morbidities including muscle weakness and renal failure.
The purpose of this study is to help determine whether cystatin C is a more sensitive laboratory measurement for renal function in cirrhotic patients.
A randomised, prospective, cross over study will be done to determine whether the anticoagulation therapy with UFH or LMWH used for hemodialysis sessions modifies osteoprotegerin and RANKL plasma levels.
The goal is to determine if prehydration based on LEVDP is superior to a standard hydratation with NaCl 0.9% or NaHCO3 for the prevention of contrast nephropathy related to a diagnostic coronary angiogram or to PCI.
It is generally assumed that renal blood flow is symmetric in the absence of renal artery stenosis. The importance of studying the function of both kidneys separately is because it cannot be assumed that they are functionally equal. The aim of the present study is to evaluate whether this is really in patients with essential hypertension and/or moderate kidneys loss.
