Inclusion Criteria: - the symptomatic acute PE confirmed by objective examination Exclusion Criteria: - congestive heart failure - chronic obstructive pulmonary disease; - a prior documented episode of PE or DVT - renal dysfunction; - a life expectancy of less than 6 months |
