Filter by:The purpose of this study is to preliminarily evaluate anti-tumor activity of a Recombinant Humanized Anti-PD-1 Monoclonal Antibody for Infusion (JS001) in treating advanced gastric adenocarcinoma, esophageal squamous cell carcinoma, nasopharyngeal carcinoma and head and neck squamous cell carcinoma and to determine the recommended phase II dose (RP2D)
A total of 300 patients with pathologically confirmed Locoregionally advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma were enrolled. Patients were randomly divided into two groups, with 150 patients in each group. One group was treated with Concurrent Chemoradiotherapy combined with Endostar and the other group was treated with Concurrent Chemoradiotherapy. The short term efficacy and the toxic and side effects of these treatments were evaluated. The 1-year, 3-year, 5-year overall survival and progression-free survival of patients were analyzed. The investigators data may provide an alternative option for the treatment of Locoregionally advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma with high efficacy and low toxicity.
A Phase II Trial of S-1 as Maintenance Treatment After Gemcitabine Plus Cisplatin Regimen Chemotherapy in Patients With Recurrent and/or Metastatic Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma.
The purpose of this study is to determine whether avelumab, an investigational antibody against programmed death-ligand (PD-L1), has an effect on recurrent nasopharyngeal cancer. Avelumab is designed to block the interaction between programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1), a known immune checkpoint, and PD-L1. By blocking this interaction, the immune system may be stimulated, allowing it to more effectively recognize and attack the cancer.
This study will enroll patients with non-metastatic nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) that have residual Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) DNA after curative radiotherapy or chemoradiotherapy. The purpose is to evaluate the survival in these patients treated with apatinib (YN968D1), an inhibitor of vascular endothelial growth factor receptor (phase IIa) and to compare the survival in these patients treated with apatinib versus placebo (phase IIb).
This is a Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of two cycles versus three cycles of Concurrent Chemoradiotherapy in treating patients with Low Risk Locoregionally Advanced Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma based on pretreatment plasma EBV DNA.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate whether dietary nitrate supplementation could improve the salivary flow for nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients receiving concurrent chemo-radiation therapy.
This phase II trial studies nivolumab and ipilimumab in treating patients with rare tumors. Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as nivolumab and ipilimumab, may help the body's immune system attack the cancer, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. The primary objective of this protocol is to provide expanded access to tabelecleucel to participants with Epstein-Barr virus-associated diseases and malignancies for whom there are no other appropriate therapeutic options, and who are not eligible to enroll in clinical studies designed to support the development and registration of tabelecleucel.
The purpose of this study is to determine the maximal tolerated dose (MTD) of re-irradiation using carbon ion radiotherapy (CIRT) along with concurrent chemotherapy in the treatment of locally recurrent nasopharyngeal cancer (NPC) and to evaluate the efficacy of such treatment at the MTD. Participants will be treated with CIRT with escalating dose regimens along with concurrent chemotherapy (40 mg/m^2, weekly) to evaluate the maximal tolerated dose (MTD) in terms of acute and subacute toxicity observed during and within 4 months after the completion of concurrent chemoradiotherapy. Once the MTD for locally recurrent NPC is determined, the MTD will be used as the recommended dose to patients fulfilling the inclusion criteria in the Phase II part of the trial.
