T Cell Repertoire Analysis of Immune Mediated Skin Diseases

This study is designed to identify the cells of the immune system that cause skin disease such as psoriasis and mycosis fungoides. Blood samples from many patients will be compared in hopes of finding common cells and molecules responsible for skin diseases. Results of this study will increase our knowledge about immune mediated skin disease.

PXD101 and 17-N-Allylamino-17-Demethoxygeldanamycin in Treating Patients With Metastatic or Unresectable Solid Tumors or Lymphoma

This phase I trial is studying the side effects and best dose of giving PDX101 together with 17-AAG in treating patients with metastatic or unresectable solid tumors or lymphoma. PDX101 may stop the growth of cancer cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth and by blocking blood flow to the cancer. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as 17-N-allylamino-17-demethoxygeldanamycin (17-AAG), work in different ways to stop the growth of cancer cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Giving PXD101 together with 17-AAG may kill more cancer cells.

PXD101 and Bortezomib in Treating Patients With Advanced Solid Tumors or Lymphomas

This phase I trial is studying the side effects and best dose of PXD101 and bortezomib in treating patients with advanced solid tumors or lymphomas. PXD101 and bortezomib may stop the growth of cancer cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. PXD101 may also cause cancer cells to look more like normal cells, and to grow and spread more slowly. Giving PXD101 together with bortezomib may kill more cancer cells.

3-AP and Gemcitabine in Treating Patients With Advanced Solid Tumors or Lymphoma

This phase I trial is studying the best dose of 3-AP and the side effects of giving 3-AP together with gemcitabine in treating patients with advanced solid tumors or lymphoma. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as 3-AP and gemcitabine (GEM), work in different ways to stop the growth of cancer cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. 3-AP may help gemcitabine kill more cancer cells by making the cells more sensitive to the drug. 3-AP may also stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth.

Effect of Denileukin Diftitox on Immune System in CTCL Patients

This is a blood and tissue study to determine the effect of the drug called denileukin diftitox on the immune system cells that may be involved in patient response to their cutaneous t-cell lymphoma. Patients who are undergoing standard of care therapy with denileukin diftitox will be invited to participate. Blood and tissue samples will be obtained at baseline, day 5 and day 19 in up to the first 4 cycles of denileukin diftitox.

Phase I/II Study of Intratumoral Injection of CPG 7909, a TLR9 Agonist, Combined With Local Radiation for Patients With Recurrent Mycosis Fungoides.

This is a single institution phase I / II trial to evaluate the safety and efficacy of intratumoral CpG injections combined with local radiation in patients with mycosis fungoides. Patients will receive low-dose radiotherapy to a single tumor site on days 1 and 2 (2 Gy each day). CpG injections will be administered into the same tumor site within 24 hours before or 24 hours after each radiation treatment. Weekly doses of (intratumoral or peritumoral injections) CpG will be then administered subcutaneously in the region of previous injections for 23 additional doses. The total treatment duration is 24 weeks.
