Filter by:This study aims to compare the recurrence rates of Esomeprazole and Lansoprazole in triple combination therapy to eradicate H.pylori infection in children. The participants were divided into two groups, those who received Esomeprazole and those who received Lansoprazole
A multi-center, randomized, double-blind, bismuth-containing quadruple active comparator-controlled Phase 3 clinical study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of Rifasutenizol in combination with rabeprazole and amoxicillin in the primary treatment of participants with H. pylori infection using an adaptive design with sample size re-estimation. Subjects will be randomly assigned to test group or control group at a 1:1 ratio stratified by study site, and will receive Rifasutenizol capsules, rabeprazole sodium enteric-coated tablets, amoxicillin capsules combined with clarithromycin placebo tablets and bismuth potassium citrate placebo capsules (test group), or bismuth-containing quadruple regimen of amoxicillin capsules, clarithromycin tablets, rabeprazole sodium enteric-coated tablets and bismuth potassium citrate capsules combined with RSZ placebo capsules (control group) for 14 consecutive days. 13C UBT will be performed 4 6 weeks after the last dose to evaluate the eradication effect of H. pylori.
The Aim: Study immunogenicity, confirm the safety and tolerability of different schedules of vaccination with "live cell-based vaccine against smallpox and other orthopoxvirus infections (VAC∆6 vaccine) based on vaccinia virus" using a complex of clinical and laboratory-instrumental techniques. The research tasks are to: 1. To study the immunological activity of a single VAC∆6 vaccine dose of 1x10⁷ plaque-forming units (PFU). 2. To study the immunological activity of two VAC∆6 vaccine doses (given 28 days apart) of 1x10⁶ PFU. 3. Assess the safety of different VAC∆6 vaccination schedules using a set of clinical and laboratory-instrumental techniques (thermometry, measurement of blood pressure, heart and lung auscultation, ECG, common blood and urine tests, biochemical, immunological and virological studies). 4. Assess the reactogenicity of different VAC∆6 vaccination schedules (number of local and systemic reactions, the percentage of those vaccinated with systemic and local reactions of various severity degrees). 5. To identify VAC∆6 vaccine-associated adverse events. 6. Study cell-mediated immunity induced by different VAC∆6 vaccination schedules. 7. Determine the presence of the virus in specific skin formations (crusts, pustules), saliva, blood and urine. 8. Evaluate the protective efficacy of one and two doses of the studied VAC∆6 vaccine.
The study was designed in a randomized controlled experimental design type to determine the effect of a 2% chlorhexidine bath applied in the pediatric intensive care unit on protecting skin integrity and preventing hospital-acquired infection. Research data were collected from pediatric patients aged 2 months to 18 years old, who were treated in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit of a tertiary education and research hospital between September 2022 and September 2023. In data collection; "Child Follow-up Form", "Skin Integrity and Nosocomial Infection Follow-up Form", and "Northampton Pediatric Skin Evaluation Scale (CCRS)" were used. The data were evaluated with appropriate statistical methods in SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) for Windows 24.0 package program.
Surgical site infection (SSI) is a significant cause of morbidity and mortality, prolonged hospital stays and healthcare costs. Perioperative low tissue oxygen tension is associated with a high risk of SSI. Standard anaesthetic management guided by continuous monitoring of oxygen delivery with a non-invasive method of measuring mitochondrial oxygenation tension (mitoPO2) using the Cellular Oxygen METabolism (COMET) monitor may benefit the intraoperative oxygenation on the tissue level. This randomised, controlled, single-centre, parallel-arm, patient-blinded trial aims to investigate if standard anaesthetic management guided by mitoPO2 monitoring results in higher tissue oxygen tension including patients undergoing elective abdominal surgery. Anaesthetists in the intervention group strive to a minimum mitoPO2 of 66 mmHg. Patients in the control group receive standard care. The primary outcome is the difference in means of the mean mitoPO2 during surgery.
The purpose of this retrospective study is to assess the treatment benefits of probiotic Streptococcus salivarius K12 for the prevention of recurrent bacterial and viral infections of the pharynx, tonsils and ears in children under 3 years of age.
Patients with otolaryngological diseases caused by upper respiratory tract infections, including allergic rhinitis, chronic rhinosinusitis, secretory otitis media, and oblate gland hypertrophy, were treated with all drugs from Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University, the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University, Guangdong Provincial People's Hospital, and Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2021 to December 2022. According to the treatment methods, the patients were divided into panfosol + conventional treatment group and conventional treatment group for multicenter retrospective analysis.
Prosthetic joint infection (PJI) represents one of the most common reasons for failure among hip and knee prostheses, with an incidence of around 1-2%. Infection can occur early (within days of surgery) or late (over a year after surgery), and no specific early markers for infection onset exist. Given the significant costs to the NHS for corrective revision surgery, the added suffering and risk to patients from surgery, and the risk of enhancing antimicrobial resistance through the use of broad-spectrum antibiotics, a more specific predictive test for early onset of infection is required.
The goal of this clinical trial is to evaluate the potential effects of photobiomodulation when used with topical disinfectants in the anterior nares of healthy adults. Over a three week period, participants will have their anterior nares swabbed with methylene blue, chlorhexidine gluconate, or a combination of the two followed by 4 minutes of non-thermal red light treatment. The fourth week of consist of only red light treatment. Culture samples of the subjects nasal microbiome will be taken prior to treatment, immediately after treatment, 4-, 8-, 24-, and 48 hours after treatment.
The aim of this study was to investigate the association between oral Helicobacter pylori infection and gastric Helicobacter pylori infection. Patients who were tested for gastric Helicobacter pylori were tested for oral Helicobacter pylori at the same time, and were divided into four groups according to the test results to compare the positive rate of oral Helicobacter pylori.
