Filter by:Observe the therapeutic efficacy of human menopausal gonadotropin combining with human chorionic gonadotropin in adolescent boys with congenital hypogonadotropic hypogonadism.
The investigators wish to explore the variability of uterine, breast and bone outcome markers as surrogates to assess the adequacy of exogenous oestrogen replacement in individuals with hypogonadism.
Sexual steroids administered to supra-physiological doses are likely to change the carbohydrate and lipid metabolism. Investigators propose to study in 12 hypogonadal men hypogonadotropic or hypergonadotropic treated with aromatase inhibitor, the respective effects of estradiol, testosterone or both steroids administered in a cross-over Latin squares plan on insulin sensitivity measured by the reference method of the hyperinsulinemic euglycemic clamp.
The Aims of the study are estimate the association between the severity of COPD and free testosterone level and the prevalence of hypogonadism in adult men with stable COPD
The purpose of this study is to determine the effects of testosterone replacement in hypogonadal men on exercise tolerance and cardiac rehabilitation after an acute myocardial infarction.
Evaluation of the safety and tolerability of testosterone enanthate (TE) following a single dose via QuickShot® Testosterone (QST) when administered by intended users in a usability study.
This study plans to learn more about heart and vascular aging in men. In some men as they get older, testosterone levels fall below the normal range for young men. Also, as men get older cardiovascular health worsens. This can lead to high blood pressure and heart disease. In this study we want to find out what causes cardiovascular health to worsen in older men. Also we want to find out what happens when testosterone levels are lowered for a short time. Specifically, we want to see if the reduction in cardiovascular health in older men with low testosterone levels is because of damage to mitochondria. Mitochondria are the main power supply of the cells in our body. The results from this study will help to understand why cardiovascular health declines in older men with low testosterone levels compared to younger men and older men who have higher testosterone levels. Knowing this information will help to develop therapies to prevent heart disease in men.
The study evaluates the effect of Fenugreek seed extract (Furosap) in management of symptomatic hypogonadism as fenugreek seed extract is a testosterone booster. Fenugreek seeds extract are known to possess protodioscin and the extract is reported to improve sperm count, sperm morphology and protective effect on male reproductive system. All the participants will receive one capsule (500 mg) of furosap once a day.
This study will assess the potential of Testagen® TDS-Testosterone to enable transfer of Testosterone to females coming in contact with skin to which Testagen® TDS-Testosterone has been applied and the potential of product to raise serum androgen levels in those women.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of BGS649 in male obese subjects with hypogonadotropic hypogonadism. All subjects will be treated for a maximum of 24 weeks. Some subjects who complete 24 weeks of treatment will be invited to participate in a 6-month blinded safety extension study (Protocol MBGS206). The study is planned to enroll 268 subjects.
