NCT ID: NCT02798783 Completed - Clinical trials for Sensorineural Hearing Loss

Enlarged Vestibular Aqueduct Registry

EVAR
Start date: June 29, 2021
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

People with the congenital anatomical malformation known as "Enlarged Vestibular Aqueduct" (EVA) may experience decline in hearing ability. This is an online registry to gather patient experiences with EVA, with the goal of providing future researchers with the information necessary to better evaluate and make recommendations for patients with EVA. Data will be obtained from volunteers who enroll and submit their information on a website, https://eva.uhhospitals.org, and a limited data set may be provided to researchers interested in analyzing repository data. The limited data set would not contain any identifiable information except for ages, dates such as date of diagnosis, or city/state of residence. NCT ID: NCT02755935 Completed - Clinical trials for Sensorineural Hearing Loss, Bilateral

CI532 - Early Experience Study

Start date: May 2016
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

To evaluate performance outcomes in patients implanted with the Cochlear Nucleus CI532 electrode array.

NCT ID: NCT02722330 Completed - Clinical trials for Single Sided Sensorineural Deafness

Evaluation of Cochlear Baha 5 SuperPower Sound Processor on the Baha Attract System

Start date: April 2016
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The aim of this clinical investigation is to evaluate objective and subjective hearing performance with the Cochlear Baha 5 SuperPower Sound Processor on the Baha Attract System, compared to the unaided hearing performance. Comparison of audiological test results with the same sound processor on a Baha Softband will also be performed. Short term safety parameters will be collected.

NCT ID: NCT02693704 Completed - Clinical trials for Sensorineural Hearing Loss

Evaluation of a Binaural Spatialization Method for Hearing Aids

BHA(L&S)
Start date: February 2016
Phase: Phase 2/Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This study investigates the possible benefits of using binaural spatialization techniques in digital wireless microphone systems for hearing aids. Speech intelligibility tests, speaker localization tests and preference tests are performed. The results of a diotic (current rendering) and a binaural (suggested rendering) rendering are compared.

NCT ID: NCT02689349 Completed - Clinical trials for Sensorineural Hearing Loss

Esteem New Subject Enrollment Post Approval Study

NCT ID: NCT02638883 Completed - Clinical trials for Sensorineural Hearing Loss

Implantation of the Cochlearâ„¢ Nucleus® Hybrid S Round Window (S-RW) in Adults

Start date: February 8, 2016
Phase:
Study type: Interventional

Evaluate the Cochlearâ„¢ Nucleus® S-Round Window (S-RW) implant in newly implanted adults with broader requirements to be considered an eligible candidate.

NCT ID: NCT02632214 Completed - Clinical trials for Deafness; Perception, Bilateral

Plasticity and Cross-modal Interactions in Profoundly Deaf Adults

PLASMODY
Start date: April 2014
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The aim of this study is to evaluate cerebral asymmetry for face processing in a group of profoundly deaf participants and a group of hearing controls by the mean of fMRI measure. To this end, we present chimeric faces (faces split into different halves), entire faces, or faces presented in divided visual field, and subjects perform a gender categorization task while lying in a fMRI scanner. It is expected to find a reduced cerebral asymmetry in the Fusiform Face Area in deaf in comparison with hearing participants.

NCT ID: NCT02561091 Completed - Hearing Loss Clinical Trials

AM-111 in the Treatment of Acute Inner Ear Hearing Loss
