There are about 15072 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Turkey. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
ASA I-II female patients aged over 18 who will undergoing breast reduction surgery will recruit to the study. Patients will divide into 2 groups. Deep serratus plane block will perform with 0,25 %bupivacaine 20 ml at the midaxillary 5. rib, bilaterally for Group I. At Group II, deep serratus plane block ( 0,25 %bupivacaine 20 ml) at the midaxillary 5.th rib+ pectointercostal plane block (0,25% bupivacaine 15 ml) at 4-5.th intercostal space will perform bilaterally . General anesthesia with sevoflurane and remifentanil will perform to the all patients. Postoperative pain scores, morphine consumption and complications will record till the 24.th hours.
Although childbirth is seen as a natural, happy, meaningful and universal experience, women are often faced with severe pain, discomfort and a sensory state that can be overwhelming. There are two ways to reduce labour pain: pharmacological (drugs) and non-pharmacological (non-drug methods). Non-pharmacological methods, in particular, attempt to relieve pain by addressing emotional, cognitive, behavioural and socio-cultural dimensions. These methods provide relief and reduce the perception of pain. One of the non-pharmacological methods used to reduce labour pain is footbaths. Footbaths are widely used as a nurse/midwife intervention in many countries. Footbathing is a simple technique used to induce a sense of comfort and relaxation. It involves gently immersing the patient's legs and feet (below the knees) in a basin of warm water. Local heat treatments are generally safe and are considered an effective form of complementary medicine. In its simplest form it means "a tool to be part of supportive care, promoting peace, positive emotions, comfort, satisfaction and enjoyment". The mechanisms responsible for the effects of footbathing are not fully understood, but soaking the feet in warm water and stimulating the sense of touch through massage or washing can reduce sympathetic nerve activity, thereby reducing pain and increasing comfort. In other words, reducing pain during labour means providing support and comfort to the woman. This study was designed to evaluate the effect of a foot bath applied in the first stage of labour on labour pain and comfort in nulliparous women.
The goal of this observational study is to determine whether there is decrease in muscle mass and muscle strength in Fibromyalgia Syndrome (FMS) patients in comparison to controls. And to determine whether these parameters are correlated with clinical ones. Briefly the main questions investigators aims to answer are: - Is there a significant difference in muscle morphology between FMS and controls? - Is there a significant difference in muscle strength between FMS and controls? - Is there a relationship between muscle thickness and pennation angle of the Quadriceps, gastrocnemius medialis, gastrocnemius lateralis and Tibialis anterior muscles and disease activity, pain and functionality? - Is there a correlation between muscle strength in FMS and disease activity, pain and functionality?
The goal of this clinical trial is to determine whether an internet-based self-help program reduces burnout in teachers. The study will also evaluate the program's acceptability which means assessing the extent to which users complete the program and find it useful. The main questions it aims to answer are: - Does the program reduce the level of burnout in teachers? - Does the program contribute to an increased sense of meaning for teachers? - How much of the program do teachers finish?
The clinical performance of an an alkasite-based restorative material and two different resin composites will be evaluated and compared in non-carious cervical lesions. After recruiting participants with at least three non-carious cervical lesions, all restorations will be placed by a single clinician. Lesions will be divided in three groups: an alkasite-based restorative material (Cention N, Ivoclar Vivadent, Schaan, Liechtenstein (CN)), hybrid resin composite (Gradia Direct Anterior, GC, Tokyo, Japan (GD)) and a highly filled flowable resin composite ((G-aenial Universal Flo, GC, Tokyo, Japan (GF)). All restorative procedures will be conducted according to manufacturers' instructions. Restorations will be scored using FDI criteria. Descriptive statistics will be performed using chi-square tests.
Foot massage or bed bath will be applied to improve sleep quality and reduce fatigue levels of individuals with cancer.
Mobile phones have different uses in different disciplines, and this encourages long-term use. For optimum comfort use, it is important to ensure users' awareness when purchasing mobile phones that match their hand sizes. The number of studies in the literature on this subject is limited. In this context, the aim of our study is to investigate the relationship between smartphone and hand anthropometry measurements and upper extremity pain and functions.
This study aims to investigate the maternal effects of membrane stripping during vaginal birth. This study was designed as an experimental case-control study. The sample size in the study was determined by Njoku et al in 2023 to assess the effectiveness of membrane stripping applied to participants who had vaginal birth in reducing the incidence of prolonged pregnancy. Calculated based on the study conducted by. The sample size of the study was calculated using G*Power 3.1.9.2, and the mean and standard deviation of the Bishop score in the relevant article were used to calculate the effect size. Using the mean and standard deviation of the relevant article, the blended effect size was calculated as 0.596. The minimum number of individuals that should be included in the sample of this research was calculated using G*Power 3.1.9.2, effect size: 0.596, α= 0.05, power: 0.95 (stripping = 70, control = 70) and at least in each group in the sample size. The sample size was set at 70 participants. The research data will be collected by the researcher using the Informed Volunteer Consent Form, Participant Information Form, Bishop Scoring, Visual Analogue Scale, and Birth Satisfaction Scale Short Form, which were created by the researcher within the framework of the literature on the subject.
The aim of this study was to compare the efficacy of caudal block and sacral espb used as a postoperative analgesia method in urogenital pediatric surgery cases.
This study aims to determine the effect of plyometric exercises on physical fitness parameters in freestyle adolescent wrestlers.
