There are about 8563 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Sweden. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The purpose of the study is to evaluate the efficacy of rilematovir compared to placebo treatment with respect to the clinical outcome on the RSV Recovery Scale (RRS).
This phase III study will evaluate the efficacy, safety and pharmacokinetics (PK) of recombinant human pentraxin-2 (rhPTX-2; PRM-151) zinpentraxin alfa, compared with placebo in participants with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF).
The trial investigates the efficacy and safety of brodalumab against guselkumab in treatment for patients with moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis who still have some remaining symptoms after ustekinumab treatment.
This trial will evaluate the safety and efficacy of first time in human engineered T-cell therapies, in participants with advanced tumors.
This research study is designed to investigate the effects of a brief psychological intervention for improving depressed mood in older individuals (65 years and older) in isolation during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The treatment is delivered by telephone and consists of four weekly individual sessions. Two therapeutic methods are used in combination during this intervention: Behavioral activation (BA) and Mental Imagery (MI). BA involves identifying and scheduling enjoyable and meaningful activities to improve mood and reduce social isolation. To enhance BA efficacy and adherence, MI is paired with BA as MI is known to activate emotion and motivation. The MI intervention in this study involves having participants imagine, in vivid sensory detail, engaging in some of the activities that are scheduled during BA. Approximately 154 individuals will participate in the study. Half of the participants will be randomised to start the intervention immediately, while the other half of the participants will be randomized to a control group receiving the intervention after 4 weeks. This procedure makes it possible to evaluate the effects of the treatment while not disadvantaging participants randomized to the control group. Participants will be asked to fill in questionnaires before, during (at the end of each intervention week), and after treatment (or waiting period for the control group). Questionnaires will also be sent 1-, 3- and 6 months after treatment to follow up on the results. A smaller group of participants (10-15) will be asked to participate in a more detailed interview about how they experienced the treatment.
Evidence-based injury prevention training is highly effective in reducing sport-related musculoskeletal injuries in youth. However, this training has so far had limited public health impact because it is not widely or properly implemented or sustained. In this single case study with youth teams from two handball clubs in Southern Sweden, the aim is to test the I-PROTECT model, featuring injury prevention training and an associated implementation plan. The main hypothesis is that the intervention will result in higher motivational and volitional levels in relation to injury prevention training.
COVID-19 is a disease with high rate of morbidity if symptomatic. There is a great need of treatments to decrease the severity. The vast majority of patients needing intensive care are men, and this may be due to the androgens, either by regulation of TMPRSS2, necessary for virus internalization, or other mechanisms. Enzalutamide is an antiandrogen inhibiting the expression of androgen regulated proteins, such as TMPRSS2. The aim of this trial is to evaluate a possible beneficial effect of short-term enzalutamide treatment of COVID-19 patients.
An investigation of the efficacy and safety of up to 70 weeks of treatment with Tildacerfont in subjects with classic CAH who have elevated biomarkers at baseline on their current GC regimen. Optional open label treatment extension period up to 240 weeks with 200mg Tildacerfont QD.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate if the addition of GSK3359609 to pembrolizumab in combination with 5FU-platinum based chemotherapy improves the efficacy of the pembrolizumab combination with 5FU-platinum based chemotherapy in participants with recurrent or metastatic (R/M) head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC). This randomized, double-blinded, Phase II/III study will compare the combination of GSK3359609 with pembrolizumab and 5FU-platinum chemotherapy to placebo in combination with pembrolizumab and 5FU-platinum chemotherapy in participants with recurrent or metastatic HNSCC of the oral cavity, oropharynx, hypopharynx or larynx.
We aim to investigate whether the use of Continuous Positive Airway Pressure using a Helmet device (Helmet CPAP) will increase the number of days alive and free of ventilator within 28 days compared to the use of a High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) in patients admitted to Helsingborg Hospital, Sweden, suffering from COVID-19 and an acute hypoxic respiratory failure.
